Kane's signature hasn't dried on the paper and a half dozen SOBs over here want to sign a literal motherf***er the day he gets bought out.

We don't lack a penchant for entertainment nor for jumping the shark

I think we see Chytil practice soon.

Hypothetically speaking, he probably moves to right wing with Bonino centering that line?

Perry probably won’t have the PA fight it so the story doesn’t come out. He also got 2 of the 4 million as a signing bonus.

He will then sign a prorated vet min contract I’m sure with a team in Florida at some point to make up more of the money lost.

What in the hell? Beau is one of my favorite players in the lig. What's the Horvat trade tree?

I dont get the Brodzinski call up at all..we know what he is, this is a perfect time to audition a younger player who has an actual future in new york. Reward some kids for their work, give them a taste to make them hungrier. Dragging a guy who we already know can't score at the nhl level and is an AHL lifer up just to give him a pat on the back is silly.

this doesn't make any sense. the Blackhawks have no reason to clear cap space right now and they certainly have the money to pay him. he could've just been traded at the deadline for actual stuff anyway. this situation does nothing but hurt them.

4 million USD for the insurance to pay Perry on the terminated contract isn’t nothing. I’m sure there are going to be lawyers involved. Could be a different kind of altercation with an employee too

Didnt they say its not criminal?

I wonder if Phil Kessel has been skating, maybe he wants a cheap one year with the possibility of playing with Kreider and Zib...pp2 mins. Guy can shoot and skate, the other two can take care of our end.

Beauvillier is a guy you could get at the deadline on a 50% off from Chicago. They don't have many pieces to sell. They'll turn it into a 2nd or 3rd, maybe more if he produces.

It’s great news Chytil is getting closer but damn, when he finally suits up for a game it’s like waiting for the other shoe to drop with another injury.

If he takes another hit to the noggin and has an adverse affect things will get a little scary.

Really hope he can come back and put this injury stuff behind him

Is Kakko out for two months? Three months? What's the big deal? Just disclose the timetable.

Brooks discussed the Rangers cap issues

Adam Fox is coming off long-term injured reserve for Wednesday’s game at the Garden against the Red Wings. Chytil was placed on the LTIR list retroactive to Nov. 3 in a cap maneuver.

After recalling both Jonny Brodzinksi and Adam Edstrom from Hartford in the wake of Kakko’s injury, the Blueshirts returned Edstrom following practice.

According to CapFriendly, the Rangers will have approximately $5.691 million of cap space available from their LTIR pool after Fox returns to active duty. But when Chytil returns, that number will diminish by $4,437,500. And the club will at some point need enough space to accommodate Kakko’s $2.1 million when he is ready.

Cap space will not accrue as long as the Rangers are in an LTIR circumstance.

It is going to be tight — very tight — all the way. There should be no expectation for a deadline blockbuster.

Paywall. My cousin is a subscriber.

Just add another D.

The Rangers sent Chytil to a doctor in Michigan

The Rangers have already withstood tougher absences than a potential long-term Kakko injury. Adam Fox is set to come off long-term injured reserve Tuesday, 24 days and a 7-2-1 record since his sprained knee at the start of the month. Filip Chytil is reportedly skating on his own — and a league source said the Rangers recently sent him to see Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher, a Michigan neurologist who has become the go-to outside medical expert for players dealing with the effects of concussions — but Chytil still isn’t ready to rejoin the group.

Laviolette said there have been no setbacks for Chytil and he is skating on his own. This process started last week.

Maybe Othmann gets call up in a couple of months. They can take a look at him. The Rangers did it with Cuylle last season. The Rangers won't have much money. They were looking at $3M in accrued cap space on March 8 before the injuries. They will have fewer and fewer opportunities to accrue space with players on LTIR.

When Fox and Fil are back, the Rangers should waive Goodrow. I doubt anyone takes him, but if they do, great. If they don't, we assign him to Hartford on off days and accrue cap space that way. It won't matter to Goodrow because he gets the same money regardless.
