I believe that for sure, and I can see how that can get conflated with some that actually do try to give undue influenceAlso -and this is just from my experience- what I do is, I state facts. I actively try to not have opinions in front of the room.
There are some facts that people just don't like and they think these facts are opinions. I'm not going into details because that gets me into trouble. You can ask me or you can use your imagination.
My grad school was law school, so the environment inherently lent itself to a lot of opinion based things. But I can think of a couple select professors that seriously ran with it.
