I still think Tampa is a good trade partner. We heard about Calgary but I'd prefer Cirelli and/or Sergachev over Lindholm/Monahan and Hanifin. Sergachev is a bonafide stud and still only 22. Should be in our crosshairs. The price will be steep but we can afford it.

An acquisition like Danault or Bonino can make do for now IF we land a stud like Sergachev

Tampa isn't a good trade partner at this time because they need to clear cap space and we're not in a position to help them do that. Any deal we make needs to have nearly equal cap going both ways, and that doesn't help Tampa. If we move Strome or ADA somewhere else first, it's a different story, but then we're giving up young players on ELCs/futures in any deal with Tampa.

With Hall being willing to take a short term deal, I think it would be smart to take a chance at him. Sure it's unlikely he signs here but if he did and on a 1 or 2 year deal it'd be worth the risk.

That's a really bad idea. Just because he's willing to take a short term deal doesn't mean it will be cheap. He's still going to have a high cap hit, one that we currently can't afford.

Panarin, Mika, Kakko, Lafreniere, Kravstov. That’s an absurd looking top 5 players in a lineup. That could grow into a matchup nightmare. How willing are you to destroy that? Add in maybe Fil makes strides. It really sucks Lias ended up being a bust, but you have to feel overall confident with the way the team is progressing. I’m as enamored with the idea of getting certain players as anyone, but there’s a balance of having a solid, stable core. I really have no idea what JG and JD are thinking. I just want this team to be really good lmao
I still think Lias could be an NHL player

pick 22 is too step a price. not gonna hate on the idea of zadorov. but not for a 1st imo

Way too Steep. Their own fanbase thinks a 2nd round pick at best for Zadorov.

I like the player. I think he would fit nice. There is a LD opening. Club has tradeable assets. I proposed Lias Anderson as a starting point on the main boards on the Zadorov thread. Maybe Rangers add a 3 or 4th with it?

Not saying they should. But I think that’s what gets it done
Who is offering a 2nd overall pick to acquire Eichel? After you have narrowed the field of teams that could 1) take on the cap hit and 2) have a prospect system + assets to fill BUF’s needs, who has a 2nd overall pick that would force us to give up Kakko? Our system is ranked #1. And thats before Lafreniere. We dont have to give up Kakko.

It’s unfortunate Oleksiak had such a good playoffs as I really thought he would have been a nice, inexpensive LD option. Doubtful he’s available now.

McNabb wouldn’t be awful if a Vegas was looking to move him for next to nothing as a stop-gap.

I’ve mentioned John Moore on here before but if Boston retained he’d be a nice stop-gap for a few seasons at, say, $1.5m per season.

Trying to figure out one thing he does good. Not a good skater, not physical and not a goal scorer. Plus don't like his makeup.

He’s actual a pretty gritty player. Around the net he has very good hockey sense. On the PP he can be a weapon for sure. Defensively he has good awareness. On the PK he has already shown to be solid at the NHL level
