He forgot to add “high potential” and “on the cheap” or were these implied?Where does Drury find one of those players?

They're not.
Lindgren is playing worse and it's hurting Fox. Trouba sucks since his last year with the Jets. Miller has improved but he's being dragged by Trouba. Gustafsson is fine. Schneider was never good at defense in the NHL as of yet and has improved a lot.
Miller-Schneider kind of slapped the brief time they were together.Get ready to be read the apologist act lol.
People would be amazed at how much would change if Lindgren were replaced with a good player. I wouldn't be opposed (and at this point, it may even be a good idea) to flip the LDs on the other 2 pairs but even if that were to happen, Lindgren playing with Fox is still a massive issue.
I say this as someone who think his last 7 periods of play have been better. Not good, but better.
Perry is an excellent bottom six player.

Would much rather have him than crap like Monahan who are non-NHL players in two zones.
Aside from Panarin - Trocheck - Laf, this coaching staff is running the worst line/pair combinations possible and it makes me want to tear my f***ing hair out.Get ready to be read the apologist act lol.

All our players are playing worse than last year except the Panarin, Trochek, Laf, and maybe KreiderHate to say it, but there's something to this. Why are all our defenseman playing worse than last year?
I'm today years old when I found out that Libor Chytil, Filip's brother, is a strength and conditioning coach and works with a lot of Czech hockey players including Filip. It makes more sense now why Filip is back home when the plan wasn't for an immediate return to the active play.Chytil
Icing an AHL bottom-6 as your NHL bottom-6 doesn’t help team defense either. They were a very good defensive team before Chytil and Kakko got hurt. The team defense should start improving with Kakko back soon and one of the AHL guys out of the lineup. They're not.

Or Wheeler for that matterPerry is an excellent bottom six player.

It’s SOFR, Libor is outNo relation to Libor Halak, Joe
Hanifin may resign with Cal, if he does the options for UFA LD rentals is not looking very good for the Lindgren upgrade idea.
Edmundson, Scandella
Still if we get someone with one year left at our price point, still not good:
Dumoulin, Maata
Maybe we have to get one of these guys and push Lindgren down, switch Gus
Miller Fox
Edmundson Gus
Lindgren Trouba
I saw him but not sure he’s what we need plus his salary at 50% takes us out the Henrique and Perry load up. We could make the cap work getting Henrique and Edmondson at 50% plus Perry for 900k. I guess that would be going for it.If Detroit is out of it by the deadline, Gostisbehere is available likely.

Yay another defenseman that can't clear the crease or defend. Yea that makes senseIf Detroit is out of it by the deadline, Gostisbehere is available likely.
RANGERS RECALL FORWARD ANTON BLIDH FROM WOLF PACK | Hartford Wolf Pack

Yay more AHL crap over prospects. Can't wait until guys like Edstrom goes back to Sweden, Berard requests a trade with other prospects

At this point I’m convinced you’re purposely being dense.
Edstrom is hurt and Berard needs to play actual minutes in the A.
If Mika can go tomorrow, blidh doesn’t sniff the ice. There’s also the salary cap to deal with, Blidh carries a lower hit than Berard.
They could move guys like Bonino and Brodzinski to the 4th line where they belong. Love that these AHL players are getting quality minutes. I'm sorry but a 1 or 2 game look at the NHL with 11-15 minutes of ice time each game is not going to hurt their development. Maybe a spark is what the Rangers need right now and they'd provide it over some AHL stiff that doesn't have a future in the NHL

I have no problem with Blidh being called up although I would have liked to see Belzile instead.
The problem is that, despite all the praise Drury has gotten, this team is a collection of AHL fodder in the bottom-6 after just 2 long-term injuries. Drury, in his 2.5 years as GM, has not done anything to give us proper depth, which is arguably the easiest thing to do in free agency if you know who to target.
