They can go to the Rangers and demand one of Laf/Kakko/Fox and we will say no and they will say "okay we will move on." Then they will do the same song and dance with LA and their top guys. I wonder if LA considers Byfield+ since they look much improved this season.

Just fyi...Necas has yet to play C in the NHL. He's been strictly a winger so far. Maybe some day he becomes a C, but it's not certain that he will.

The growth in his game this year has been tremendous, he's expansion draft exempt, offers an element the Canes don't have (his speed and ability to make plays at speed), and he's a RH shot, so I would be quite surprised to see the Canes making him available.

Add back Panarin and Kakko and maybe the only thing you cringe at is Blackwell on the third line.

I would certainly not cringe over him versus Gauthier by any means . Blackwell will at least get dirty and provide some second effort most games versus Kreider and Gauthier who sometimes have their zombie suits on .

IIRC he said he's been asymptomatic so I don't expect a Mika-esque drop-off in play (if it's even Covid that's causing it, which I doubt)

Man on twitter I saw Sabres fans say they would need F***ing Pastrnak or Mcavoy for Eichel in a Bruins deal. Theres like a 99% chance they will be severely disappointed for an Eichel return

Everyone gushes about the Rangers future, and it ain't fcking Blackwell and Rooney. Trading multiple potential future cornerstones for one player already signed to a massive cap hit would infuriate me. Eichel does not make this team a playoff team any faster than *hoping* Chytil turns into a proper 2c. Granted they still need a 1c but it might be better to hope for luck with what they have/value trade (like Zib) than to go all in on an Eichel.

If the team stinks with what they have now, imagine how bad they will be with Eichel passing to Lemieux on PP1!
