I thought it was a limited NTC. Well then it would have to be a three way deal...
As a 4th line center he has been fine. Problem is we also have Howden who is a 5th line center! Every game I watch I still wonder what Howden brings to the table. Not a good skater, not a physical presence, not a goal scorer and not a play maker.
Y0u can make it a 5 way deal, and it still has no chance of happening.
All that is fine, but has nothing to do with Rooney. I would have Rooney actually be the center ahead of Howden.

It just cracks me up that a team with such stacked prospect pool has somehow figured out a way to have such vomit enducing prospects at the important pivot position.

Kreider has a full NMC until 2024. Then it becomes a modified NTC where he submits his 15 team no trade list.

Lundkvist+, Schneider+, Kravtsov+, Miller+ pretty much any official team prospect that isn't Lafreniere plus a significant add- except Miller who would be 1 for 1.

I absolutely would not consider that.
If something like that is getting moved it needs to be a young top tier guy who also has the character needed to balance out what’s lacking here today. Eichel, character wise, seems to have the same problem this team already has so much of. No way on earth would I give up that much future for that.
