I mean he may be full time before that, but I don't think the panthers care about that. With a goalie, they're a legitimate team right now.

Goalies usually take 4+ years to start making an impact in the NHL. This just means they don't have to rush him.

Some have been coming over earlier. High draft picks tend to reach the NHL earlier. He's 18 right now and some goalies come into the NHL around 20.

Good point. Many feel Knight could be ready by 2020-2021 or 2021-2022. How do you give Bob that much money and term when you just drafted a stud goalie early in the first round??? Not sure how that works? I mean are they projecting Knight to be ready in 4-5-6 years? I wonder if Bob is getting a NTC? and if he isn't who would want him when he's past his prime making 10 million per

Bob's contract is horrendous! That will hurt them down the road just like lundquist 8.5m aav for the next 2 years. Cant win the cup when your goalie is the highest paid player on the team
