Why would the Stars acquire Hartman if they weren't willing to qualify him? He's no more or less likely to sign with the Stars on July 1. Was it just to shed a contract going to the Flyers?

Yes. Zubov is also one of only 2 NHL players to have played more than the 61 minutes Rykov played in that 6 OT game. Different level leagues but still impressive.

Zubov as the head coach in Hartford could work. I don't think that's where the transformation should start but it's something. I still think Zubov will be Tuomo Ruutu's counterpart though

They still absolutely love him.

Keller and Pettersson represent the "ones who got away" for the Rangers. There will always be a heightened sense of interest from this group when it comes to the careers of those two players, if for no other reason than because the Rangers will want to know if they were right in their evaluation.

Rangers didn't select anyone until Sean Day in Round 3 of 2016. Not sure if I follow with regard to Keller... what am I missing?

right now, trying to project the future lineup, by far the biggest wild card is chytil...his potential is almost limitless and I think he's gonna be a monster down the road for us especially now that he doesn't have to be the top dog. but I've got no clue if I see him as a center or a winger....which position he ends up playing completely shifts the teams needs down the road

(and i'm talking about in his prime, not next year)

the rangers tried to get Keller...the rumor was mcdonagh to edmonton for #4 overall to get Keller. then columbus took dubois and edmonton decided to keep the pick

Who knows. It depends on different factors, I guess. But I would love for him to be the D-coach on the Rangers. It's about time the NHL adds some European coaches
