What he is/was/seemed to be at times on here or Twitter is not who he is IRL. I mentioned a shtick earlier and that was part of it.

Stand by my statement that he was the only guy who didn't simply regurgitate what was being reported everywhere else. He had his own **** to report, and while it was not always correct, it was sometimes correct. And in our modern era of HF, that is a rarity.

Yeah, I believe you. We didn't get along, but we had some friendly exchanges and I can believe there's a warm person there. I think my online personality is a lot different from real life, so I get that. But I don't expect to be judged online by anything but my online personality.

I get that it makes no sense to have Dagoon chased away while everyone here drools over a few posters here who have said very little outside of what has been widely reported in the media for two threads.

He'd claim someone was getting traded to about five different teams. When they were traded to one of them, he'd hound people for "insider credit". One of those people who needs the attention and makes people distrust "insider info".

That is woefully inaccurate.

Dagoon had legitimate sources. It became apparent later in his HF tenure that some of his sources dropped off but for a while he absolutely had connections.

Considering he told me to go **** myself on numerous occasions, both here and on twitter, I have no reason to lie on his behalf.

Maybe you didn't see the tweets I saw. He wanted writers to credit him in their coverage for calling particular moves. If they refused, it was like they insulted his person, and he responded in kind.

Flyers were my least favorite for quite a while, thanks to 1997. Close second to Brodeur/Stevens and the Devils. I think Marchand and the Bruins have replaced them now. And the Bluejackets, as long as Torts is there.

I'm worried that with George on the way out eventually with Shesty being the crown prince, the lack of goaltending prospects will sway management into a weird 2nd/3rd round reach for a goalie on Saturday.
