So far this projected return for Meier is absolutely horrible for SJ. Andreas Johnsson, Nikita Okhotyuk, and I’m assuming a 2023 first. There’s almost no way other offers weren’t better than this

Kravtsov should have stayed in Russia he would have had the value Mukuallananadulin and Ohikoutututu have lol

that trade is exactly how a "rebuild" is supposed to work. get close enough to being a real cup contender and then use some of your stockpiled prospects to get a guy to put you over the top. we're here dicking around holding onto guys who will end up blocked so we can trot out the corpses of Kane and Tarasenko for a playoff run. im disgusted. we will not be in a position to add a guy like Meier for a long ass time.

The return for Meier is massive. Wtf are some of you talking about.

It’s quantity over quality.

San Jose didn’t get a single top guy out of NJ’s system.

It’s a late first, a decent roster player, a shit prospect who was an overdraft, another guy who may have some potential as a 4-6 NHL D and a contract dump.

And a conditional 1st for a guy without an extension in place?

It may be quantity, but it isn't bad quantity.

When does any team ever get a top prospect? Did we get a top prospect like Segrgachev or Point when we traded McDonagh? Did Columbus get Kreider or McDonagh when traded for Rick Nash?
