That confident huh?
I am pretty confident.. It'd be a massive letdown if they lost a series. The only way it happens is if we play pond hockey and Shesty shits the bed

I actually liked the PP structure they ran on the PP Mika scored on last night. Have Mika and Bread both rotate in and out of the bumper slot into the board slot. Having them swapping positions as the puck is being moved around will hopefully confuse the penalty killers and will keep defenses honest in respecting the rest of the ice and opening up those lanes better for the one timers. Having Panarin and Mika rotate spots will open lanes and get that shot available more often than just parking Mika there and telegraphing everything until sending him a pass.
It's Dynamic....

now when we add the Kane One-Timer aspect to it, it's going to open up everything. It should be borderline unstoppable.

North-South through the neutral zone, and I would have money on the damn board every night for whoever has the most forecheck pressures/hits. Make them feel it all series.

If they can tighten it up defensively, have actual structure, there's no reason they can't beat anyone in a series given the amount of offensive talent they have. But this really comes down to coaching. It's all on Gallant and his staff to get them playing a system that chokes the life out of the opponent and then strike when the opponent makes mistakes. I don't have that confidence in Gallant and the staff. I hope I am wrong. Rangers were good defensively for the most part in the playoffs last year but, I still don't trust it now.

It’s an all star lineup.

And we all know how all star games are played lol

It may take some time, but set and it forget it. Let them figure it out
This remains my concern. The playoffs almost always come down to injuries and dumb bounces. It’s very difficult to skill your way to a Cup.

It’s going to be fun to watch. Gotta get through the first round in less than 7 games.

puck management is a major key. Can't be turning it over between the blue lines. Just play your simple/safe game and they will crack.

G.W. once called Dan Marino's wife dynamic. Let's hope it just as dynamic

It took TB being embarrassed by Columbus to understand that style/gameplan.

We still struggle with it still but if that finally comes together, sky is the limit.

IMO the Devils are a nightmare matchup for the NYR. They thrive counterattacking off the rush, and the NYR offensive gameplan frequently being some form of throwing the puck around East-West feeds into the NJD attack in a big way. Then factor in Shesty having a less dominant year so far this year (should be noted his HD SV% is flat vs last year however, was surprised when I checked that). Then factor in the NYR with Tank + Kane having 100% of the pressure on their shoulders.

It is going to be no walk in the park. Not even close.

Those six periods against Detroit and Washington damaged many's psyches. I get it. But all season pre-break, they were a top-3 GAA team in league with an average goaltending situation. Let us not forget that.

Gonna sweet Friday seeing how many cheap bodies they can get on AHL deals lol

Have no Money left for the big squad

It's moments like this that make me wish the NHL did more team coverage, similar to what we saw from HBO and their Winter Classics. That HBO 24/7 Winter Classic for the Rangers VS the Flyers was amazing. The Rangers have so many cool players now. I would love to see how they interact with one another off the ice. I'd pay any TV subscription for that type of content.

We played like that for parts of the playoffs. Especially against Carolina. I just don't know if I trust it to happen now. But if they did, I agree they can beat anyone. Especially if they play disciplined and force other teams to take stupid penalties, there's too much talent to squeeze onto the PP.
