There is absolutely no issue.

I hope that poster was just joking.

It's absolutely something to consider when potentially trading for a player and investing millions of dollars into a player who has to constantly monitor his blood sugar, and give himself insulin injections into his leg during each period.

You think this is wise for a potential long term contract?

Going by last season because it is the most current, 55 points in 81 games and 6points in 12 playoff games is not the makings of a #1 center. He has done some great things for the Rangers over his career but not last season.

It hasn't exactly held him back up to this point?

McPhee is doing some really weird things. He did a good job with leveraging picks from teams but given the depth teams have nowadays compared to the last expansion draft, I doubt think you can credit McPhee with the haul of picks. Any GM would be able to do that. Some of these decisions by McPhee is terrible. Still the same Forsberg for Erat deal again.

Schlemko is like the definition of 7th defenseman. Don't get the outcry here.

If he's the definition of a 7th defenseman, it doesn't make much sense to draft him now does it? Either you draft someone else with more value or you trade Schlemko for more. The media and a lot of GMs are high on Schlemko. Is there some sort of understanding between MTL and LV that we're not aware of? Maybe GMGM is doing GMMB a favor.

That makes this worse.

Schlemko + 5th in 2019 for Emelin is a horrible, horrible, horrible deal.

ha i was only kidding.

I was told there was some 4D Chess going on earlier this week. Turns out the stupidity in the nhl is still as high as ever.

Gorton is missing out right now.

Doesn't sound like GMs are as high on him as you're portraying.

He's 22 years old and it hasn't stopped him from getting into the NHL and playing great hockey..so yea, I think its an absolutely ridiculous to hold that against him or any potential trade for him.

It's likely Montreal and LV had an understanding of sorts and this is stemming from the expansion draft considerations. No way this is the best deal possible for Shlemko. If a 5th rounder is all he could get, he'd hold on to him. 100%. TSN has him as the #4 trade bait. Everyone is surprised by this. His value is higher than a 5th.

I don't know enough about the whole situation, but I'd leave this one up to the medical staff and the professionals over there.
