If the lowest Kreider will accept is 7x7 (likely with some sort of NMC), do you...

  • Trade him

  • Sign him

  • Rent him for the playoffs and let him walk as a UFA

If they trade Kreider I hope it’s to a team out west and he either re-signs later with the Rangers (suuuuuuper unlikely) or he signs out west.

lol, the Lightning. What will they include? McDonough and a C level prospect?

I’ll believe that cheap org when I see it

They’re not really cheap. They do pull the trigger. The cheap organization in my eyes is the Leafs. Totally scared to do anything but the most basic low hanging fruit deals. Colorado has that rep too, a bit, but I have a feeling they’re going to make a big move or two. Trade in some assets to take a run at the cup. The Leafs are just gonna stand pat because they’re worried about the media and the fans if they swing and miss.

A buyout of Hank is a very real possibility and should be taken into consideration by everyone on here.
I just think Henrik has more in the tank. And if I think that, I’d assume he does too. And I’d hope the Rangers do too.
He’s in a different boat from Staal for example. I think the Rangers don’t really gain anything from keeping Staal around. But a hall of fame goalie who can still get it done with proper rest... that’s a perfect backup and mentor to Igor.
I think it makes more sense to move Georgiev while he has value and keep Henrik for next year, at least. Huska or Wall should be able to backup after that. If Georgiev really is that good he’ll probably be unhappy as backup anyhow. Let him go be a starter with SJ or elsewhere.
You may be totally right and I might be way off base in my assessment. But at this point I don’t see Henrik as a problem *in an of himself*. it’s more the situation that’s the problem.

where was Hank? Our fashion celebrity goalie for Valentine’s Day?

Tony D does have quite a personality. Meanwhile, I’m glad the others play better than they speak lol
Actually kind of interesting Henrik doesn’t seem to appear on these kind of videos. Am I correct in saying that? Did he used to show up more on Rangers social media?

I don't think it's actually that simple - they have a bunch of moving pieces, including who-offers-what for Georgie either now or in the off-season.
Yeah. The conventional wisdom is that there would be more competition for Georgiev in the summer. But if I’m a team looking for a long term goalie, like SJ, maybe I make an offer now to get in early. LaBanc and a pick? Does that move the needle? LaBanc is going to be due a decent raise. If G continues to shine though, waiting til the summer could make more sense.

Figured I'd post this here:

Extended Rangers talk starts around 18:20.

In sum, both Friedman and Marek think the three goalie situation sticks around until the end of the year. Marek loves Shesterkin. Friedman believes the Rangers want to hold onto Georgiev and will have some very frank discussions with Henrik after the season regarding whether he has any interest playing elsewhere.

Why wait? Why not talk now? They should have talked to Lundqvist before bringing up Shesterkin. Hard to imagine any of the goalies being completely happy with this situation.

San Jose has two goalies already...they wouldn't willingly create a goalie situation like the Rangers one. They'd much rather keep Dell than to trade Labanc for a goalie. They could, in theory, buy out Jones but I'm not sure if Mr.Wilson is still in a position to do that. Might cost him his job.
