I know Joel Romero had fusion done. The guy is cuban science experiment though... looks like a Ninja Turtle at 44 years old.
And Chris Weidman. He’s also had a plethora of other injuries including a major one a couple of months ago on his tibia and fibula.

Exact quotes from that interview if it wasn't posted already.

Darren Dreger was on WGR in Buffalo a few minutes ago and said the following about the Rangers and Jack Eichel:
“This is a tough market to nail down. A good New York Rangers source, yesterday, thought that there is a slim chance that it was going to work with the Rangers. That is not to say it’s not going to be the New York Rangers, but again, that is where the process was yesterday and all that can change pretty swiftly with a phone call.”

Dreger continued, “but if you are looking at a four piece package from the Rangers, I had a package thrown at me that included Lundkvist or Schneider, Kravtsov, Chytil and a first round pick. I mean there is four elements and I threw that by the Rangers and they basically laughed, as if that is too much. Is it? It might be, from New York’s standpoint, but is it too much from Buffalo’s standpoint to ask for that.”
Marty Biron said that he thought that that package would be a “bad return” for Eichel, from a Sabres point of view.
Dreger added, “you don’t think that Rangers package is even close to what Buffalo would need, well the Rangers are likely looking at is too much and ‘we’re not paying that.”

NYR News > The latest on Jack Eichel and the Rangers
Biron is a total moron if he thinks that package is not enough for Eichel. Two blue chip prospects who are surefire top of the lineup players, a 22 year old middle 6 center with tons of potential and a 1st round pick. That would be a dream return for Buffalo you would think.

It’s kind of weird that they’re scoffing at our prospects but drooling all over Rossi, Fiala, and the 25th pick

It's all part of the general trendiness to hate on and devalue eichel beyond what is fair in the current situation. This guy is a top 10 center when healthy...
"Elite centers are so hard to acquire, and that's why we haven't been successful as a franchise."

**Elite center becomes available**

"His handshake is kinda weak tbh."

As far as the fanbase goes, the trade isn't just about getting a return I think, it's about punishing the team acquiring Eichel for doing this to them - so there may be an emotional favouring of a trade like that because Rossi is the best prospect/U-20 Minnesota has (or at least top-2).

And beyond that I would rather deal with a physical injury rather than something like a brain injury. I love Mika, but the impacts that concussions on is playing style in his career scare the hell out of me to make a long-term commitment to him going into his 30s. Repeating the Brad Richards situation on a different scale scares me more than dealing with a physical injury that has multiple options to be rectified

The problem with their fanbase is that they're expecting to make up for the ROR trade with this one.

Very true. If that was the actual package the deal would be done and then I would cry for a week. Please no Eichel.

I was pro-Eichel last year for the right price, I’d be lying if I said I’m comfortable with it now because of the neck.

If you can get him for pennies on the dollar then whatever, but the neck makes me do a double take.
