Value of: ROR to the Leafs at the deadline.

Right but he was atleast a good player. We all know O'Rielly can still play. A freak injury is always a risk with rentals. Even if you want to say that the Foligno deal was bad regardless....which it was but he had value to add if he didn't blow his back out.

He was a good player not worth near his price, that's the point.

ROR will require a premium for his resume, so we need to ensure he can still play at that high level or we're getting burned badly. His stats took a dive last year and he had the slow start to this campaign. It's why I asked Blues fans how he's performing now

That would be a crazy addition (and one worth it, though i obviously hate to give up the potential of Knies the return is obviously worth it).

Leafs would need to send 2 contracts back as we are at the max contract limit and Knies isnt signed.

I don't think this is enough value. Remember, ROR has no ability to veto a trade. Knies is a nice prospect but he's not some must-have player. 1st + best prospect the market bids for each player should amount to more value than is here in this offer.

He can't, but Tarasenko can. Tho, RoR is going to be very very easy to get a bunch of value for. 3.75 cap hit, below 1mil actual cap payout, no trade protection, and is a bona-fide top 6 selke level center.

Torontos D is perfectly fine, especially when Reilly and Brodie are back. ROR should be the target because we can extend him.

We have essentially put Holl in to cover for Muzzin. I suppose you could say Timmy and Sandin will improve enough that we can match last year

It's certainly an open debate but many of us would sleep better if Holl was our 7d.

They are both mobile/physical types. Gio may have higher hockey IQ which comes from his days as a top pairing guy.

Giordano is playing on the Leafs bud. Yeah the Leafs D is banged up but the Leafs are one of the best puck possession teams in the NHL. All he has to do is play a simple game and manage the puck well.

No two players are a like but both of these guys are physical/mobile types who focus on making good decisions due to experience.
