well, it's the fault of inflated expectations. People thought he was borderline NHL ready, so him being our worst Dman this tourney is a bit of surprise for them.

but those expectations weren't realistic in the first place, IMO.

I think those expectations came from how good he was on international ice. Was he not playing top pairing minutes with Edler at the World Championships this year? Not to mention that his team, with him playing with Edler, won the World Championships.

I think having such high expectations for him are warranted. I think everyone will be back on the Grannberg bandwagon soon, once he's gotten the chance to log some serious North American ice time with the Marlies this year.
