Agreed. And overall, this is just one game. Can't write off a prospect or call someone great just based on this. Still, i am disappointed with how the team as a whole as responded to the adversity tonight. Instead of pushing back in a game that is most certainly important to every one of them, they've kinda just lost their wheels and gone blah.

Motivation and rallying typically relies on the Coach.

Woah, tiny font for some reason.

I really like that response from MacWilliam. I think this guy should get some serious consideration for Marlies captain

Yupp, thats most Leaf fans :shakehead

Leaf fans like the extremes. We're either winning the cup, or we are the worst team in the league and we should trade everyone

Watch all of Canada's games during the 2013 WJC, including the pre-tournament ones. Some choice highlights to look out for are his insistence on using Malcolm Subban in goal despite being the worst of the 3 or 4 goalies at camp. Using one of his top offensive talents in Nathan MacKinnon on the 4th line. And lets not forget, using Morgan Rielly as his bottom pairing defenseman, despite leading the D in both +/- and points. All of these things combined into one epic fail when his team lost to the Americans 5-1 in the semifinal with Subban giving up 4 goals on 16 shots.

No offense guys, but the Sens team has had more development time than the ones the Leafs are icing. Zeke pointed out the ages in another thread.

Also, the Sens have a lot of AHL firepower playing. Price, Pageau, Stone and Petersson are all polished AHL scorers.

It's not the fact that we lost the game, it was how it was lost. No fight, no effort, no heart, something that falls squarely on coaching (and also terrible goaltending).

impressive 3rd period from the Sens prospects.

Prince, Dunn, Stone, Pageau all looked really good. Really exposed the Leafs' weak links. And Hammond was unbeatable in net.

My good first impression of Bibeau faded pretty quick - he was exposed pretty badly at the end there. But it wasn't all his fault, the Leafs' patchwork D didn't look great.

Game turned on special teams in the middle there - PPgl, SHgl, PPgl and suddenly a 2-1 lead was a 4-2 defecit. Then the quickie 5th goal right off the faceoff and it was all over.

Wish we could have seen more of Percy and Rielly on the PP points instead of Spott giving all that time to invites Murphy and Yuen....but I guess that's what rookie camp is for, to get a look at those kinds of guys. Unfortunately for those two, this performance probably means they didn't earn a contract and will have to go back to junior somewhere.

But hey, at least the Leafs beatdown the Sens in all the fights!

p.s. sens team was way too old for this tourney anyways. #cheaters

Your assuming things would have been different if he made all the choices you wanted. Which would make you some kind of hockey coaching prodigy. Maybe you should take up the profession and show everyone how it's done
