Y'all are such haters.
He's a walking encyclopedia of hockey knowledge, has a deep proficiency of hockey history, an immense love and respect for the sport, and has spent more time at rinks from peewee games to the NHL than all of this board combined. A broadcast and Canadian legend.
If he's not your cup of tea no problem but he objectively doesn't "suck."
Anyone who's around for long enough will always be turned against and vilified.
How do you even end up with a hatred towards a guy who does intermissions for a sports broadcast and is on your tv for 20 mins a week lol.

When I saw Biznasty on the show last night, I immediately thought of how much this squirrel is going to squirm.
Despite their best efforts, HNIC still seems like an old boys club. And he was probably scared all night that Biz would say something "out of line".
In fact, I don't really get why they all have to dress up in suits either. Do we really care about formal dress up these days? Most people have gone way more casual in workplace environment and dress code.
I guess we will wait for the end of the Boomers for the rest of society to stop caring so much.

Lmao, what? You know he's gone on Spittin' Chiclets before right ? What a weird assumption that he's a gatekeeper and would have anything against Biz.
The first words out of Ron's mouth when he was on the SC pod was thanking Biz for, quote, "what he did for me up in Welland being apart of a show we do called hometown hockey."
Ron is known to be one of the boys and someone who loves to have drinks and chop it up. He's not a pretentious, stuck up, guy off the ice at all. He has great relationships with players. Brad Richards is one of his best friends.

Oh, I hate him and everything he stands for. He's a backstabber, a coward, a self-important virtue signaler and more (as I commented earlier, I've been told by people that have played men's league hockey with him, he's a d-bag on the ice). You can't use the word "objectively", sorry. It's a matter of opinion and how one feels and I feel contempt for him and that he sucks. Oh and I haven't listened to 20 minutes TOTAL from him in 5 years. BTW, I couldn't care less about Don Cherry. I think he should have retired 10 years ago.

He only worked as the straight laced role next to Don Cherry. Otherwise he's quite dull as an on air personality.
Fun fact: Ron was born in Zweibrücken, Germany.
To me he's just super-Canadian. That grinning kind of Dad-joke witty know-it-all type who's friendly, yet also has a greasy side.
Personally: I used to like his straight-man schtick along with Don, but on his own don't care for him. He's past his due date (as was Don).
