Six in 9 days is going to be a gauntlet. That they haven't figured out what they are doing for the Springfield game is... mildly annoying? Troublesome? Something I would think would be handled?

So these are some telling numbers at the heart of the Amerks steady, depressing slide to flirting with missing the playoffs again:

Biro - 0 goals, 3 assists in his last 15
Weissbach - 0 goals, 2 assists in his last 13
Rousek - 0 goals in 17 games, 7 assists in that span
Murray - 3 goals, 2 assists in his last 20
Mersch - 2 goals (in the same game) in his last 15
Malone - 3 goals, 3 assists in the 12 games since they super glued him back together after a month out of the lineup again.
Bjork - 2 goals and an assist in his last 11.

That's... that's not good. The only guy in that list who I think has some glimmer of hitting NHL ice at some point is Rousek and he's managed to participate in more goals than any of them. They don't defend well either, but my word, I didn't realize it was THAT bad over the last 7 weeks or so. Right now, Kulich (5-5-10) and Rosen (4-3-7 in the last 12) along with Hinostroza are basically driving the short bus that is the Amerks scoring. That's not right.

Nice to hear Hino giving feedback. He's been good after a few games to get settled. I do wonder if he's going home on deadline day or not but he's the only one of the veterans who is giving them production. That could be because both Malone and Mersch are physically shattered and gutting through a variety of aliments, but Bjork doesn't seem to be broken because that would involve being more involved and he's been anything but that.

Also, they've replaced the home color commentary at last with Scott Metcalfe. The irony there of course is that his linemate in Rochester for a couple years was Rob Ray.
