Kulich is now tied for 4th all time in AHL points as an 18 year old, and 6th in points/game as an 18 year old. Similar per game production to Cole Perfetti, and slightly below William Nylander.
His ppg has accelerated too.

Roughly pre and post WJC.

I’m just sitting here thinking back to draft night. Me and my friend watching at his house…me getting drunker and drunker and wanting Kulich so bad at 16. Then being so excited I could pee myself when he was still there at 28.

I didn’t shut up about Kulich from about pick 13 through 28. I loved him so much. And now he makes me look smart every day.

3-0 in 3 days.

pretty good.

Imagine when they add Johnson and Levi.
They won't get Johnson for sure this year.

Players who sign after the deadline basically can either sign an NHL deal which burns the first year of their ELC this year but prevents them from being assigned to Rochester, or they can sign a ELC to start next season and then play in Rochester on a ATO for the remainder of this year (but cannot be called up to Buffalo).

There is no chance Johnson will take the second option. If the Sabres don't offer him the chance to burn the first year of his ELC, he's going to wait it out and go to free agency. That doesn't mean he won't get sent down next season since he'll still be waivers exempt, but if he signs, it's Buffalo only for him.

Levi though I'm less sure of. His career path to date has definitely been about him doing things the way he thinks will most benefit his development, and he doesn't have the leverage of "I'm going to free agency this summer if you don't give me what I want" either. I could see him going for option 2, but there's still a very good chance that the Sabres will agree to sign him to an NHL deal as well.
