I wonder if he's so bent on making sure no one can question allegiances since he was an Amerk all those years ago, that he goes out of his way to make sure he doesn't call anything in their favor. He's Van Massivehoser level of bad so I expect him to get more NHL games in the near future.
I know this is a stupid question but why would the AHL put him in a position where it could be seen he has a conflict of interest in the first place?

It's been a long time. There have been plenty of other officials who have worked up to being NHL referees even after playing for NHL teams as players (Kevin Maguire, Bill McCreary). I never felt like Maguire was calling a game in favor of any team when he was out there. Kea? Thus far he looks like he's actively trying to. *shrug*

I would take the fine if I was Appert.

It was like Savioe was shadowing Kulich and kept having to correct himself. It’s hard to get thrown into something like this. Hopefully they smooth things out as the game moves along.

The problem with putting someone in without much practice time and why it may have been better to wait a few days to get him more tuned in.

It also takes a banger out of the top 9. Kozak-Malone-Rosen gave them a harder game than they do with Weissbach. *shrug* Messing around with a winning lineup, it's a problem.

The Amerks don't match up well with Hershey. If they don't use their speed, they're going to get rubbed out and worn down by the bigger, more physical Bears. The ice is slowly tilting against them.

Bears are keeping Amerks completely out of the middle of the ice, leaving only distant, perimeter shots. Unless they start going hard to the net and timing rebounds, they won't score.

Bad period, particularly the kids line. We were the faster team in game 1. We are definitely no longer that.

Not liking the addition of Savoie with how the lines are composed now. That line was light and tends to get pinned with Weissbach on it, it was worse with Savoie.

Right now, the Olischefski line is working. The Jobst line is close to working. Malone's line and Kulich's line could go into a blender.

I was excited to see Savoie too but man I’m really surprised they messed with their lineup. At least wait till you lose

I get that the Jobst line is nearly working......but I wonder if they need to spread the beef of Mersch and Murray around a little. The speed of the Malone/Kulich lines is being completely neutralized.

I wouldn't mind if they flipped Weissbach into Jobst-Mersch and Murray with Malone-Rosen.
