Praise from Appert for Cecconi, had the goal yesterday as well as his usual matchup stuff. Here is his post-game press huddle:

Also thought it was interesting that despite being able to throw him under the bus, Appert still praised Laaksonen in this too.

Pretty shocking that Amerks were down 2-0 in the last series and are now up 2-0 in this series. Some serious character building.

Wish I could but 1500 miles and noticing that my passport is expired leaves me out.

I ended up finding someone. I tell you all it was golden. A beat down of the Leafs farm club, our prospects running circles around the old, grizzled vets they have on Marlies. The tide is turning people. If Pags back us up with money, we will pass the Leafs. And soon.

Bartovic! That's a name I havent heard in a while. All wheels, no hands or hockey IQ. It was fun watching him skate live. He was one of the faster players I remember watching live.

Novotny was me and my buddy's whipping boy. He turtled once during a line brawl, and that was all it took. Lots of skill, but not anough drive.

Peters and McMorrow were like the bash brothers from the Mighty Ducks. Peters threw haymakers whil McMorrow was more of a quick jabber.

Damn, there was a ton of toughness on that squad. Goose, Paetsch, Janick, Thorburn, etc...could all chuck the knuckles if need be. McMorrow and Peters were the heavy hitters.

Random post, but the nostalgia is real!

Also random is the ATO-signed but never played Dennis Wideman. With their decision to start cutting back and letting Donnor soak some of the AHL-level deals, they decided to choose between him and Paetsch.

All the Amerks have to do is make cardboard cutouts of Gudas' face, and wear them like a mask.
