Any chance Dean plans to make some other trades to get back into this draft?

Go big or go home. Kings want that second consecutive Cup and they could smell it. Roster is pretty deep now and this enables them to move a defenseman for a forward.

Knew it was happening. Pretty O.K. with this. Many may not, but I like Regehr. I think he is just what the Kings need on the back end.

Aren't we over the roster limit now with Regehr?

Roster limit goes away after deadline, can send down Toffoli on paper for 2 days to accommodate it.

Better Regehr than Murray for that cost. Should be solid pickup. Likely means no Mitchell this season for sure.

It was time to go for it again, don't care about the overpayment. The team is ready to run, it isn't time to walk into the playoffs but go ahead full steam.

A pylon for two second rounders? Ill take it. I guess toffoli Nolan Richardson or dd44 will be going down to the minors? I guess ellerby and or Martinez will be scratched??

Exactly. You take the known over the unknown and they didn't give up a roster player or a prospect.
They needed veteran help and this gets them that and should give Scuds a break minutes wise. When Greene comes back they'll be set.

And it does give DL more options to get that LW

Good luck with Robyn, he's still got some life left in him. I'll be rooting for the Kings again this year. :)

Great move. Instant chemistry with Sutter. Dean is going all in and that's we all want. These opportunities don't come along very often when you can see another Cup in the distance. I'll gladly overpay a bit.

You guys overpaid a bit for him (IMO a 2nd and a 3rd/4th would've gotten it done fine) but Regehr's still pretty decent. Fairly solid #4 option, really good 5/6 if you could pair him with a quicker guy to make up for his lack of speed

Do not like the overpayment when we already don't have a first. This is not the draft you want to be down a 1st and 2nd. I do think Regehr can help. You've GOTTA think a roster dman gets traded now. Ellerby won't be waived and I think Dean is thankful for Whiskey not complaining and will try and find him a new home if he is the one on the move.
