Rumor: Robinson: Many teams expect Brock Boeser to be available

If you need a winger for awhile you:

Can roll the dice on a Rantanen ufa

Call the Canucks and talk about Boesser

Probably can’t get the Penguins to move Rust or the Sabres to move Tuch, but you can try.

You could call Chevy and ask about Ehlers.

You could borrow Kreider.

You could have a free Brandon Saad.

You could try to steal Lawson Crouse from Utah.

It’s a nice time to want a winger.

A bunch of UFAs as well

To Washington 50% retained for their 25 1st + 26 4th + Ethan Bear. Easiest fit for both teams of all time

I am really curious to see Columbus' best offer for Boeser, based on their rumored interest. Lot of Cs in that org.

I'm not persuaded that a team with Voronkov, Marchenko, Chinakhov, KJ, Monahan, Jenner, Fantilli, Del Bel Belluz, etc... needs to give a big contract to Boeser.

But to answer your question, I imagine that Sillinger or maybe Del Bel Belluz would be the in the value range for a trade. Hard to tell exactly what Del Bel will become. Sillinger meanwhile is more set in stone as a heavy middle six center, more likely a 3C in my opinion.

Pretty wild how badly the Canucks seem to be coming apart. I do get the hesitance when it comes to signing Boeser long-term to the sort of deal he's likely going to command though. He's a real good offensive player right now, but i'm not sure how his game is going to hold up as he ages. He's also not necessarily a bigtime offensive "play driver" or "catalyst". He's just a real good finisher and "facilitator" of offensive zone play.

The thing about moving on from Boeser though...i think that's gotta tip the scales toward trying to move JT Miller over Pettersson. This would seem like a move toward shuffling the core even younger. If you're trying to replace Boeser and his production as well (presumably Lekkerimaki is the guy tabbed for this), the timeline for the remainder of JT Miller's prime doesn't really make as much sense anymore.

glad the thread title was fixed.

boeser is slow and methodical and defensively present and rarely imposes himself on the play but he is also savvy and clutch and a guy you want on the ice when you need a goal. he will be a big hole to fill for the canucks.

I'm not really counting on it, between Faber's raise (925k to 8.5M) and the raise Rossi should get (863k to between 6 and 7.5M). They'll have just enough space to fill out the roster with their ELC's.

Seems like they'll try to make something work somewhere, but they also seem more interested in Brock Nelson than Brock Boeser.
Billy just loves signing those 35 year olds. Part of their upgrades at Xcel Energy Center should be a retirement home connected to the locker room.

Plays with two 100 point centres at the same time and arguably the best defense of the modern era. 31 goal pace would be a 12 goal pace (factoring in the exchange rate and linemates) on an American team.

Not worth much.

I think Boeser would be a good fit with the Jets but we don't need him as we have all the RW spots loaded. But I think if I see him going anywhere it's probably Columbus, Dallas or Minnesota.

I can never figure out with you whether it just feels good to scream nonsense into the ether, or if you derive some perverse joy in hoping that you'll set someone off who takes you seriously.

When Colorado is never mentioned as a team looking at him, he'll go to Colorado. Might work out with MiddleJost who is slow like him.
