He's put in the time, his attitude has always been above the line, and he's got skills.
If I was the coach of the Marlies, I would have called him into the office prior to his callup to tell him I don't want to see his face back here again. Go take your spot in the lineup.
That 3rd line with Domi and Jarnkrok is the perfect place for him to be. He doesn't have the pressure to keep up with the Big 4, and he gets to be the skill on that line, with a play-maker like Domi and a defensive minded player like Jarnkrok. It really lets Robertson focus on what he does best and keep it simple.

He seems like he has figured it out and knows how to change speeds effectively at the NHL level. No more full throttle every time he's on the ice

He's had a good start. Calling him up really brought that 3rd line alive. Still think Robertson is a big piece of the puzzle going forward unless Brad does something stupid like trading him for truculence.

Domi's legs are moving so much more at centre and as a natural passer, it's complimenting a guy like Robertson really well. They're on the 3rd line so softer competition and Robertson just looks smarter now. Lots of energy before but it wasn't utilized properly, now he can make plays.

Only 3 games but they've finally got that sheltered scoring line they've needed for several years now and Robertson is a big reason why. Domi has clicked at C and Jarnkrok is doing all the heavy lifting defensively for these guys, while on a heater of his own. Corrado illustrates way better than I ever could why it feels like Robertson's game is more well-rounded than in previous years. Looks like he can hang with the 200 foot pro game now.
Let's all hope he gets a healthy season under his belt, easy to see him with 0.5 PPG if that's the case.

Robertson-Domi-Jarnkrok can be the perfect 3rd line for us. Love Robertson’s game since he got called up this time. Just hope he can stay healthy.

I personally think developing in the bottom 6 with the Kerfoot and Engvalls of the league would have been more beneficial.

Has developed nicely. Notably has been able to keep up with the speed and physicality at the NHL level wild winning some battles and creating some time and space.

The diff between Nicky now and before is his ability to change speed/gear when he is playing. Before, he is either 100/mph or 20/mph. Now he knows when to burst when to slow down and read the play.
Really glad he is working out and once he gets more comfortable, he will just get better
