With regards to the power play, this is the right move. Ehlers is not a fit on PP1 with that group. He's a shooter but they already have three shooters on that unit with Connor, Scheifele and Morrissey. The second unit was using Schmidt as their primary shooter with Pionk as a backup. This swap will do wonders for both units. This is not a punishment for Ehlers, it's proper utilization of players on a struggling power play.So weird what is going on with Ehlers. Every season we expect him to take the reigns and pop off, but always hits hurdles or gets neglected by coaches. Wonder if something is going on behind the scenes.
I had some strange thoughts while crunching through breakfast with my AP newsfeed. The big story was a hockey player dying from a freak accident during a game in Britain. Thousands of tributes, every website expressing regrets.
Last night's shooting in Tampa Bay had 18 victims but was dismissed by a county official with "only 2 died"
Last night's shooting in Chicago had 30 people hit but "fortunately only 4 died".
In America on Sunday, there were SIXTY-FOUR incidents of mass shootings which one AP commentator said resulted in ONLY 14 people dead.
It's like living in some futuristic science-fiction novel worse than The Handmaid's Tale.
And in really relevant news: am I the only person who had Count Chocula for breakfast this morning?

I finished off a box of BooBerry last week. Does that count?I had some strange thoughts while crunching through breakfast with my AP newsfeed. The big story was a hockey player dying from a freak accident during a game in Britain. Thousands of tributes, every website expressing regrets.

Agree. They need to get the PP working, and also need to be ruthless in terms of prioritizing whichever one IS working.

Don't get me started about America and their guns , weird how none of these mass shootings get stopped by another American with a gun . And i love Count Chocula .I had some strange thoughts while crunching through breakfast with my AP newsfeed. The big story was a hockey player dying from a freak accident during a game in Britain. Probably an empty netter.I said this before the PLD LA game... I fully expect Wheeler to break out of his goal drought against us tonight. PLD came in to the MTS Center without a goal all season and potted one, Armia goal-less and in the AHL to start the season, scores one against us. Laine put up multiple points last year. Every Jet when returning seems to put on a show with the exception of Trouba so prepare yourself for Wheeler to score.
He was probably looking at her hands right before he made that mistake, understandably.I hope in the video tribute for Wheels they include the interview with Sara where he says "thanks man! Uhhh.. lady.. um sorry" and slinks away
That's sick he should be charged seriously he sticks his leg up in the air to stop Adam Johnson who was carrying the puck into the zone. The sad part was it was off side too.WRT Adam Johnson. Have you seen the video of the incident? Are there murder charges coming for Matt Petgrave?
