If they keep the lines as they currently are:
Palat/Jack/Bastian
Bratt/Nico/Noesen
Timo/Dowling/Mercer

Then I could see a Palms reunion to play alongside Palat and Jack on the top line as a good fit. He'd also likely wouldn't cost much consider his age and wingers usually go for less at the deadline than other positions.

Hopefully this is our 24-25 launching pad 2nd half game like the Sevo OT winner was in 22-23

Yeah, that must be the park, bordering Ashland, Hickory, and Gregory St. right next to Gregory Park Condominiums, which is what they turned #13 into.

We're on Comfort, right up at the wedgiest portion of the wedge. Funnily enough, and I didn't know this at the time, but my dad (who went to U of R), lived in a house just 2 blocks down from where we live currently. It was a sketchy enough and unofficial enough living arrangement that he never got a key and just climbed up and down the fire escape to get in and out.
Know that street and every other one from Highland park down. My wife lived on Whitmore St., Hickory St., Comfort St., and Gregory St.. I lived on Averill Ave, Whitmore St., and Diem St.
Whitmore St. is short one-way street that runs between Meigs St. and Mt. Vernon Ave. which starts at Cayuga St. and ends at Highland Park.
Diem St. should have been a 1-way, but it wasn't, between Caroline St. and Benton St.

My wife and I both lived on Whitmore St. but not at the same time.
We both attended #13 school but she moved to Hickory the same year I left to live on Whitmore.
We eventually found each other with her on Gregory and me on Whitmore at age 13.

All of these streets are in close proximity. Both families lived in apartments and moved around due to family size increases, rent hikes, and wage increases or decreases. My last move to Diem St. was due to my parents buying their first and only home in Rochester. I lived there through high school and the summers during college. My wife was on Gregory through high school and then she joined me at college and lived in Brighton in the summers as her mother remarried and they bought a house on Elmwood Ave. just past the 12 corners.

Was a really fun night tonight, but man that Markstrom injury was scary. Really hope it isn’t as serious as it looked.

That sequence of play where we had them pinned for 4-5 minutes was awesome. It’s a shame they didn’t capitalize on that because the crowd was buzzing during it, but they sure made it count the rest of the way. Timo and Mercer seem to have some chemistry there.

Also, a Justin Dowling primary assist? In this economy?

Yep I will gladly accept 3 weeks with how bad that looked. Hopefully Jake Allen can hold the fort like tonight for most games he starts, though he's bound to have a stinker or 2.
Well we are two weeks away from 4 nations. So if it is a weeks injury he may get extra time to recover. If he isn’t back before 4 nations he isn’t going to play in the tournament.

If he's out for any extended period, we're going to have to go with Allen and probably get Daws back up.

This win was much needed. Hopefully Markstrom's injury isn't too bad but I think this team can survive with Allen in goal. Sucks he hadn't won a game in almost 2 months but Markstrom started a ton of games and the Devils didn't play too great the games Allen got in. Montreal on Saturday should be a good test for the team and Allen will have some extra motivation for that one as well.

The Devils did a great job honoring Lemaire. He played a big part in this franchise gaining credibility and ultimately staying put in NJ. If they don't win the Cup in 1995 they might not of stuck around for all we know. It was great seeing Lou , Larry Robinson and the Devils past players as well. Especially the ones we haven't seen in a long time.

If they didn't win that 1995 cup they would be in Nashville.

Keefe said he’ll miss time in his postgame presser. That was the extent of it. Thankfully the 4 nations tournament is not far around the corner, and if he does need recovery time, I imagine he’ll skip the tournament and take that time to heal.

Sucks about marky but it honestly comes at the best time possible. Maybe the team will get back to their structured ways now that they don’t have him back there to bail
them out. Glad to see them skating like they’re able to keep food down again! Passing on Mercers second was beautiful.

I absolutely DESPISE Twitter doctors who look at a 5 second long clip and spout an opinion. Super unethical to speculate on the health of someone who isn't a patient and they haven't examined, and usually they're no more accurate than just Googling "ankle injury" and seeing what pops up.

The fact that a "journalist" took Twitter hearsay from a doctor he's never spoken to as evidence and put it in a news article is borderline firing-worthy. It's not that much different than saying you met a guy on the bus who says that the Devils are going to trade for Connor McDavid and treating it like a legitimate rumor.

My annoying list of thoughts:

Guys not scoring- Bratt and Meier. I'm not worried. Not going to complain about Bratt or bring up Timo's contract because despite not scoring both guys are actually playing pretty well and just haven't had any luck or breaks. They will be fine.

Markstrom- Man that looked bad. My guess is 2-4 weeks but either way if this HAD to happen, this was the time with the break coming up. This team more than any other team in the league needs a break.

I want to know what Keefe said to the team in the locker room. It's like a switch was flipped and all of a sudden December's team was back. Holy crap they were skating circles around the Bruins.

Really happy for the nights Hamilton and Mercer had. If these two can produce more the team is so much better off.

Siegenthaler looked so good last night.

Bastian is the worst.
