This kid gets pushed around in the Q, especially when he try’s to play on the wall and crushed in the corners. I like his hands & creativity but he really needs to get stronger this season to avoid becoming a perimeter player. I was surprised when he was picked up in the 2nd round.

Saw him play on weekend. He is a good skater who is creative and also gets into the dirty areas however as others have said he is light and gets pushed around. High IQ and skill but he will need some seasoning.

He's a very smart player with solid skill. But we have seen this before... Skating and Physical strength is going to be his biggest development hurdle once he turns pro. Enjoy the show for now

He does not look that fast out there either.

Yup, it's called constructive criticism. He's a great young prospect for us and a very good player in the Q. Someone needs to tell him that things are going to change very fast once he turns pro and he likely has already heard it

Skating and physical strength. These are two major areas of development for Kidney if he wants to become an impact NHL player vs a depth guy fighting for a bottom 6 role.

I've check to get info on where Kindey could be traded and they are 2 teams that really want him and that would be willing to pay the price: Halifax and Gatineau
Halifax sounds interesting since they have one of the top offenses in the Q. Was kind of hoping he would go join Roy though.

I agree he needs to get stronger and fill in a bit more but that may come at a later date. He's on a bad team and still producing. It was a good 2nd round dart IMO.

Bad team and still producing. There is some value there. Next level to evaluate is if he makes team Canada and how he performs. That's when his physicality/skating flaws may show more. How good he becomes depends on how obsessed he is to over come the obstacles along the way.

Hey, I want him to succeed. He may just be one of those slight guys that stay alive in the pros. The AHL will be a big test.

I have high standards for prospects lately. I like what Kidney is doing in the Q but that is only step 1 of a long road to become a top 6 asset in the NHL. I hope he has good leadership and development coaches that let him know that the real hard work is only going to begin when he turns pro. Never settle and work on the flaws which will most likely be skating and physical strength. He needs to be obsessed to address those areas

You put him on several other teams prospect pool and they pump him up to grade A level. We did this before with our weak prospect pools too though. I'd have him rated B+ today

Add 1st round pick Zachary L'Heureux back from injury as well. this team is a legitimate threat to light it up in the new year
Zachary L'Heureux is on a tear too with his 5 goals in 5 games and 7 pts (missed the 1st 22 games). It's almost like they injected two top line talent lately. Mooseheads top 6F are deadly

Yes I personally think Halifax have bigger need at defence and even more in goal
