Thanks. I wondered if Longueuil would be in the running. I grew up in Greenfield Park so I was wondering if somewhere near there was a possibility.

How will they convince a city to build a 3000-4000 seat arena with the current economic situation ?

The south shore is growing every day not only because more and more people are moving there but businesses are choosing to go there too. I don't see how it's a bad proposition in the long run.

I know, I live on the South Shore. I live in a well-off neighborhood with ample tax money and can't imagine any public support for a project like this, especially with the coming economy. Some of these cities just built community projects in the millions of public funds already. Brossard lost the 4 glaces with little public support for a replacement. Sainte Julie just put in 11M$ for a new arena, Saint Hyacinthe 12M for renovations but with no intentions of growing their 2500 arena. Many of these towns already have projects and this one is asking for a publically funded arena, for a product with poor return on investment for the population (that already need to fund things like new or bigger sports complexes for the population boom) and that historically hasn't been able to last more than a few years in Montreal and the South Shore. That's not without taking into consideration the more recent political inclinations of the population and the types of mayors/city councils that were elected around here.

He says he gained 8 pounds since he got back home. He was listed at 174 lbs at Habs' development camp. So if he gained 8 pounds since then, he should be 182 lbs.

I'd like to see a Kidney that is 5'11" and 182 lbs.
I’m on the fence about who between Kidney and Hutson, better represents a state of infantilism (physical only, of course). :sarcasm:

And yes, training camp can’t start soon enough.

Ex-NHLer that have played with the Habs in 2003

Yes, and then I think he became a referee no?

If so, this is now his 3rd major career in hockey. Kudos to him. Most people only get one. Not bad for an enforcer.

Edit: oh well...
