Nash will find them is right. He is stellar out there. Our other guys aren't used to how he makes passes. Plays. Not yet.
I have no complaints with his overall play. His defense also has been better than expected. My only gripe is that he is passing up shots. I've seen a lot of highlights of nash in his career and it seems that he is very lethal going to the nets and scoring. I wnat to see more of that

He ain't! He's absolutely the guy we cherish. Problem is Ritchie and Gabs, no chemistry between those three ... because the skill level of Nash is too high ... I'm not even kidding.

Nash is fine :yo:

...What?

Gaborik has five goals. If it wasn't for Gaborik, Nash wouldn't have the points he has either.

The problem is Nash hasn't put the puck in the net, not Gabby and Richards.

This is my short take on Nash based on our limited viewings of him.

He is a great offensive talent, he is a much better passer than I anticipated and he is VERY good at CREATING chances.

However, he isn't the greatest FINISHER. (Obviously he won't continue his horrid shooting percentage, but this is just I how I feel based on the 10 games I've seen him play so far).

Gaborik, in terms of CREATING chances, is almost the opposite of Nash but he is just such a great FINISHER.

I prefer having both of them on the team.

I still can't fathom how our PP is so bad. So much god damn talent, no results.

Edit: For people who watch and play soccer. I think of Gaborik as a pure goal poacher, while Rick Nash is more that all around forward that can create and finish (although not the same frequency that that pure goal poacher can).

Highlighted key part.

If Nash, who has failed to hit 30 goals twice in his 9 year NHL career that began at age 18, is not a great finisher, that's something we're all going to have to live with.

While I see what you're saying I don't think its as cut and dry as that. Because Nash CREATES so much, he is going to get his fair share amount of goals.

If there was some statistic that could show the ratio of chances created/converted that'd be fantastic. But alas there is not, so we have to base it on our memories and film.

But the limited viewing we have on Nash is still a major factor and my opinion on the matter might very well change in the upcoming months.

Lol Gaborik = Inzaghi

He seems to be trying to make the perfect play followed by a snipe or deke. He's on a good team. I'd be fine with him picking up a couple of cheapies just so he can exhale a little bit. That'll loosen him up and will allow him to proceed to snipe and dangle his way to pretty goals!

Let's hope his goal tonight gets him scoring some more :) I said this in the post game thread, but the guy is creating chances and playing well. He just needs to start scoring like he can

When all is said and done I predict the Nash trade with Columbus will be looked at in the same light as the Messier trade with Edmonton.
Just a prediction

Nash's goals will come. Regardless of where he's at in the goal department right now, him on our team makes our offense way better. No question about it. Even if he's not scoring, he's creating chances, making plays and he's someone the other team has to worry about.

Just look at Hags' second goal. Nash was on the far side and the D-man basically worried 100% about the pass and Garon seemed occupied by it as well. That was equal parts Hagelin making a great play to look like he was going to pass as it was Nash being on the opposite side. When he's out there he has to be worried about.

So what you're saying is: Inzaghi = Gaborik and Ibrahimovic = Nash :)?

Now all we need are comments like these coming out of Nash's mouth or him kicking a teammate in the head as a joke... (Antonio Cassano)

Nash has consistently been our best offensive player since the beginning of the season. he's putting up points...and they arent semi bogus points like Richards has been putting up either.

Really, really loving Rick Nash. I knew he was good in CBJ but I always had him pegged down as a purely offensive player. Man was I wrong! He's even on our PK, doing a good job there too, and the man is always beating his man. Amazing player and once he realizes that he is our best player (just like in CBJ) hopefully he'll score/shoot more.

I had my doubts regarding Nash, but I was wrong. The man is our #1 player. He has another dimension to his game that both Gabby and Brad lacks. Can't believe we have 3 potential superstars offensively that alla can play even better... Yikes!!

Spot on. This was also confirmed by Hagelin himself in a post game interview (in Swedish). Paraphrasing: Nash is one of those guys who'll get by his man 50% of the times, so the opponents have a huge respect for him. If I manage to "hide" myself a little bit he'll get all the attention and it is possible to find some pucks from his rebounds.

Yeah, Nasher has been great. With a couple better bounces, he could easily have 6 or more goals. He is consistently our most dangerous offensive player. Makes things happen on every shift. Love it.

Anisimov and Dubs have 10 points between them. With the additions we've made recently (Powe, Miller) and with Halpern and Pyatt playing well, the loss of depth doesn't seem to be much of a concern. Still feels like a great deal to me, and I was one of those posters that was very apprehensive at first.

 I was talking about his playing style. Big strong, can score and set people up. Personality wise they aren't like each other at all.
