when you're pretty much the entire team (ok thats a stretch), what are they gonna do? trade him? bench him? :sarcasm:

Or if he asks for a night off, you think Sather is going to tell him "No, you are mandated to go. Otherwise some posters on HF will start unfounded rumors. Can't have that, screw your health."

He's basically the franchise right now. Coming off his greatest game as a Ranger so far. An event where he can mingle a bit and take photos, and show that he's fine, healthy, and back.

But he takes off AGAIN? (he didn't make the season subscriber forum event)

I can't help but think its for a reason relating to the possible concussion he had.

Maybe he just suffers from severe social anxiety disorder and gets severe panic attacks when he's around lots of people in that type of social environment.

This is a stretch beyond all stretches, but **** it. At this point, I will entertain anything until something more definitive, official comes out. :help:

It's not a stretch its quite a common occurrence. Specially highly successful people under lots of pressure who are not used to it.

He was at the Dog Walking Event last September. I don't know could be lots of reasons but I'm trying not to think about it now

Is it possible he just had prior commitments... He bacane a ranger mid summer and then basically had no contact with the team for months cause of the lockout maybe he booked sonething else?

Nope. Our season is doomed. Fire the players! Trade the coaches!

He sure looked fine when he was scoring that goal yesterday.

You have to keep in mind, although he played great yesterday, he hasn't skated/played that hard since his injury. With concussions, they are very fickle and after a workout of that magnitude, he could have started not feeling well again when he woke up today.

Was it even confirmed Nash had a concussion? The dude was skating the whole week on his own.. certainly not something to do right away if u have cincussion symptoms

Though I do not know Rick Nash, I do know that this is not a stretch at all, and that it could very well be that events such as this are not pleasurable at all for him.

A social anxiety disorder? Wouldn't that mean he would be looking away from the camera in interviews? He always looks straight at the camera. Feels like he's talking to me.

Torts said on Behind the Bench that Rick Nash is quiet. I highly doubt this was the reason he missed Casino Night though. Maybe they just gave him the night to rest considering he is coming off of a 4 game injury stint.

Torts and sather realized we suck without him so they r protecting him from avid fans who want his head because hes only got 4 goals

If Nash was healthy he would have been there. The only players missing were Gilroy, Asham and Nash.

No. Not only is looking into the camera not indicative of not having social anxiety, it could potentially be how one might overcompensate. Regardless, social anxiety can manifest itself in lots of different situations. Could be fine with the media but tonight's event could've made him anxious.
