Damn I was so entertained reading some of these comments, I didn't want them to end. Maybe he went to jones beach, got drunk.. And fell asleep (HELL YES)

You see the rest of the game lol? That goal was a cherry on top his play lifted this team which is what leaders do. That
said I agree Girardi prob deserves it more.

Yes I watched the rest of game . DID you miss the part about division rivals and big games agains big teams. Their is no denying the importance Of Nash to this team . What I am pointing out is that although big games against Tampon Bay are nice and accepted what makes a guy a " true Ranger " to steal a term from the Yankees is doing it in the big spot against the likes of the Devils ( Flyers , Pens etc ) or other division rivals. It's nice to stat pad and dominate The southeast especially after NYR rocky start a wins a win but everyone knows beating Marty and the Devils is what it really is all about at the end of the day .

The only game where he didn't play well was IMO the first Flyers game. He hasn't put up 12 shots every game, but he's been good the whole season.
 
Dgmw I think he's a monster every game. I however feel before gushing about Jersey letters the guy should have that " NYR " moment against one of our hated rivals . It's bad enough Brad comes in without playing a game and gets a letter over a guy who takes pucks to the face and body for years as a NYR .

Regardless how he is playing, he seems to be a good leader with experience and helping out the young guys, for example Hagelin lived at his house when he was new on the team and in the city.

I don't mind Brad's letter.
 
IMO Nash is a guy who has brought it EVERY night. Such a competitive player, definitely a guy who I would want wearing a letter.
 
No one has yet explained to me how having a concussion would prevent him from attending a casino night. Is there a lot of hard hitting? Is someone gonna check him into the craps table.
 
Ever been concussed ? I have . Low energy , head aches , vertigo . Does that sound like something you want to deal with while taking 1000's of photographs and talking to mouth breathing jock sniffers ?

My hope is that his physical one on one threat will help open up the tight checking of a playoff game. Get the defenders to back off a bit.

Absolutely. There is no perfect way to play Nash, he can beat guys in so many different ways. Look at how different Richards and Hags looked against Tampa, compared to against the Jets.
 
Casino night? meh

Rangers organization does a lot of great things for a lot people (mostly kids) who need help and that is a good thing. I'm proud to be a fan (to some degree) because of their charity work.

But.....if a player has other commitments or whatever, I'm not going to have a problem with that. It's personal choice.

Just win baby!

I'm referring to your comment about his goal as if it was the only thing he did that specific game. If I was responding to your quote about division rivals this response would make sense.

It really does read as if "The only thing he did was score a goal that game" which is obviously untrue as it gets.

Also yes I did see that part of your comment it just didn't really need to be discussed any further bc it's a slightly valid point based on personal preference. The point I responded to was not valid.

I disagree that you have to dominate division rivals in regular season games IF you do enough in the PO's or your other games. Be a consistently all around great player I don't care who it's againt if you're consistent enough it should lead to beating rivals and some PO success. True ranger seems like a lame title I'd prefer to say great ranger players but that's just personal preference

he forgot about casino night due to his groin concussion or he skipped it because he was thinking with the wrong head
 
I don't get how anyone can see his impact without the puck. He creates so much room for everyone else and can drive hard to the net on his own.
 
Nash did a ton of things for the Columbus comunity, many of things nobody knew about and he does it because he cares. So if he was not on an event it has to be good reasons for it. He is as close to perfect as they come.
Hope you win the Stanley cup with the Rangers Nash. Oh and the lottery too :nod:
