It was his own skate. You can see his left skate come up near his right knee when he fell.

Guhle had surgery already and is out indefinitely. My french isn't great but I believe it is some sort of laceration on his thigh...like I said my French isn't real good

Laceration? That’s surprising. I don’t remember seeing him get a skate near his leg.
his own heel (remembering from last night’s replay). I figured he was cut because of his reaction after touching/looking and the way he bolted off

We were avoiding injuries all year for the most part and then the CH ghosts said "hold my beer"

Holy Christ! Laval getting hit big time. This just sucks. Better get some reinforcements. That’s a lot of size out of the lineup. I hope they don’t slide as a result.

With 5 games coming up next week the timing isn't great.
I would’ve liked them to grab some recent guys off waivers. They’re going to be in trouble with that lineup as evidenced last night. It doesn’t help that Mesar and Kidney contribute squat. Still mind boggling that Reinbacher wasn’t sent down even though he’s technically on IR. . I’m sure they could’ve fudged things to allow him to practice with them.

If they grab players off waivers, they have to waive them to send them down to the AHL, in most cases, the waiving team just claims them back and then can send them to the AHL.

True but that rarely happens. I’m not even sure that can happen. Wouldn’t that result in a vicious circle? The two teams constantly waiving the guy and reclaiming?

It happened just this year with Raphael Lavoie.

But it ends when the original waiving team gets him back.

So it'd be this

Team X waives Player
Team Y claims player
Team Y waives player to assign to the AHL
Team X claims Player
Team X can assign Player to the AHL without waiving again.
