without a true enforcer this is the first of many dirty hits on Nash.

If that's the case the NHL is a joke. No other sport carries players that can't play and whose sole purpose is to protect players from cheap shots. If NHL players can't help but be criminals (if someone assaulted a person like players are assaulted by goons they'd be criminals) without another team wasting a roster spot for a goon, I don't want to watch this garbage league.

I guess that was OT, either way, I hope it's a groin and not a concussion, but if it IS a concussion I don't want to waste a roster spot on a Colton Orr. I want hockey players on this team.

I hope he gets better soon. Would have been great for his confidence to grab some goals against a team playing with a severely depleted roster.

Bad news for us, Nash is not travelling with the team to Ottawa. May possibly join us in Montreal, but I highly doubt it.

@NYP_Brooksie
Nash is not making trip to Ottawa. May join team in Montreal.

@NYP_Brooksie:

Again, not to intentionally fan the fuels of discontent, but flying is tough on guys suffering from a concussion.

For his sake, I hope it's just his groin.

I would be fine if we lost a 1st line player last year, because we had the depth to fill in.

We have nothing right now and we're pretty much the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Oh stop with the exaggerations and melodrama. Seriously, it's impossible to read these boards sometimes. Who was our depth last year? Brandon "it took me 6 months to get my first goal and even that was a goal my great grandmother could have scored" Dubinsky, Artem "for every good game I'm invisible for 20" Anisimov, Brandon "5 goals that no one remembers" Prust, or Ruslan "my offense has been MIA since game 7 of the 2004 Stanley Cup finals" Fedotenko?

Call me crazy, but yes, either of them would've filled in admirably for the team if our first player is out. They're all better players than we have in our bottom 6, easily. Don't forget Mitchell too, who is making O'Reilly seem redundant on the Avalanche with a bigger role on that team.

Neither Asham, Kreider, Halpern, Miller, Mashinter, Powe or Pyatt are better than the players you listed.

Not crazy... INSANE! :amazed:

Mitchell is making O'Reilly redundant? The guy did nothing for us 99% of the time here. There was a small stretch of games where he was hot. Kind of like Pyatt, I actually prefer Pyatt. He will fall down to earth and if he doesn't it's completely irrelevant as he was useless here. Oh and the only one of the players that I'd be remotely excited about is Anisimov. However he was incredibly inconsistent. Dubinsky was garbage last year. It was just painful watching such a fall from grace. Prust and Fedotenko, you'd rather have them? At least Kreider and Miller are young players that can improve, most of these players are who they are. You just need an excuse to complain and will come up with preposterous claims as an excuse to complain.

Jeff Rimer (CBJ's TV play-by-play announcer) was reporting the rumor of a concussion on a Sunday radio show in Columbus. I thought it was strange that he played the next game after I heard this. I chalked it up to just a bad rumor.

Now I am not so sure. :/

Hey folks, any idea on who will be replacing him in the lineup/What your lines are going to be tomorrow?

Doing the GDT on the sens board, so it'd be good to have them ASAP, thanks! Hope Nash gets better soon!

Last night they were:
Hagelin - Stepan - Gaborik
Kreider - Richards - Callahan
Pyatt - Boyle - Miller
Mashinter - Halpern - Asham

IF Nash has a concussion and is out for a good amount of time I will cry.

Weep like a little girl

I hardly think he was playing with a lack of confidence.

Hardly indeed.

Confidence might have been the wrong word, but It could have been helpful in him scoring

a few goals. Maybe he's snake bitten, maybe he's just focused on trying to make the play

first, either way you crack it, the Sens have a ton of AHL players in the line up right now

and i think it would have been nice to see him use that to his advantage and grab some

goals.

Kreider and Miller aren't even half of the players Dubi/Anisimov/Fedotenko/Prust are at this moment. They aren't NHL players right now, while the players listed are integral parts of the 2nd/3rd line for NHL teams. Miller and Kreider are integral parts of our AHL team's roster, even then, they're on a winning streak without them. Prospects are so overrated on here. Speaking of Miller and Kreider, both would have zero pressure cracking the lineup if we had all this depth here, even if Nash is out.
