He skated in warmups and was almost scratched Sunday , then was scratched Tuesday, I think Zipay's right...groin injury...

I think it's a concussion due to the "flu-like" symptoms he was rumored to have after the Boston game. Tired, groggy, sounds like concussion symptoms to me. On top of that, for a groin they would keep him with the team. Concussions keep players away from planes.

I know what your saying but if he was grggy sunday he wouldn't have played with PCS...unless something happened vs caps...

Nash is a warrior, he would fight through anything in order not to seem weak. He wants to help the team win. But after the Washington game, he probably felt worse and realized (along with the Dr's) that he needs to take some time off.

If it's indeed a concussion from the Lucic hit, I will find whichever idiot allowed him to play against the Caps, and bad things will happen.

Then again, Marc Staal played for like two months before our wonderful team doctors realized he had a concussion.

Not always easy to figure out the difference between a concussion and headache until a couple of days later when you are tired and groggy with headaches.

Well if it is a concussion, maybe like Boyle's vs Ottawa, about a week...

If the team had any concerns about a concussion, why would they even think about letting him take warmups and playing v. the Caps on Sunday especially after the Staal debacle? You don't take warmups to test out a concussion and that's what they made it seem like by saying he was a game time decision.

They probably were unsure of what it was. Unlike a broken bone, a concussion has to be brought up by the player to the staff. Maybe he didn't think he had one and didn't say much, just that he wasn't feeling that great.

I posted this on the Torts thread, explaining the Bellicheckian lack of info on injuries:
My son was at Torts pre-game press conference vs Caps, he said Torts was hot as a pistol, question how is Nash, I don't answer questions on injuries, next question, how does Nash's injury affect the lineup. I don't answer questions on injuries, next question,

If it is a concussion, this is the kind of thing that should get people fired whether it's Jim Ramsay or a team doctor.

2x in two years is beyond unacceptable.

#NYR announce Rick Nash is not traveling with the team to Ottawa. Team says Nash may join teammates in Montreal.

Pat Leonard on Benigno and Roberts at 1:42, Benigno says he will ask him about Nash injury...

Exactly. It's not an injury easy to diagnose. Especially the player/person Nash is, he isn't going to go whine to the staff and say he can't play. But he probably couldn't deny the feeling anymore since it didn't get any better.

Torts wisdom:

New York Rangers ‏@NYRangers
Torts on Nash: "everyone has injuries, so you just have to play...Nash is a big part of our team, but he's out"
