another great example of the leagues' officials not doing their job in calling dangerous hits that target the head, such as Lucic on Nash. This is just another reason why this sport will always remain the bush-league sport that it is. Total BS. nothing changes.

Nash practiced on Monday after playing on Sunday. The Rangers were quick to put Powe on IR even when reports said he was feeling better. You would think the Rangers would take the same precautions with Nash if he did suffer a head injury. He scored that shoot out goal with a head injury? The Rangers brass should smack some of their players in the head so they can put on those moves in a shootout. Nash had a shoulder and groin injury during the lockout.

Powe was knocked out on the ice. He could barely stand. Concussions are not like broken bones. Not every one is the same.

You know who else had a concussion?

This is part of the player we got. With the way Nash plays, he's going to get hurt and miss several games a year. It happens. I hope it's not a concussion and he can get back to playing soon.

Oh god. If he were "banged up," he'd still be able to fly. This sucks big time. And it's even worse because we have two ghosts in Gaborik and Richards right now.

so its not at all possible that maybe they wanted him to stay at home and use the teams facilities to rehab an injury rather than travel with the team and not be able to use the team facilities.

I love Nash's demeanor, he seems like such a cool dude. A true badass hockey player.

Get well soon buddy, hope to see you in a week.

A concussion is a concussion. If Nash suffered a concussion,the Rangers would have taken more precautions with him just like they did with Powe. They put him back on the ice to play a game and was at practice the very next day 2-3 days after getting banged up.

Ryan Carter said he suffered a head injury after game on Monday. He got hit by two Ottawa players including Neil at the same time. He had a hard time getting up. Carter left the ice and never returned.

Leonard said he watched him skate in warmups sunday testing his skating leading him to believe its his groin, said he talked to him after Bruin game and he was fine

Leonard said he played vs isles and if they thought there was any chance of PCS he wouldn't have played Sunday...this is his theory by the way

I agree. I'm just tired of the injuries, the league has to take a hardline stance. There are a ton of examples of borderline hits, and stupid injuries (add Hossa to the list). The sport can't go past a certain point without cleaning this stuff up.

How many titles would Jordan have won if some guy could just elbow him in the face and take a 2 game suspension? Especially if it was the 17th guy on the opponent's depth chart.

the problem is that nash didn't lay down and cry like a baby

If its his groin, why would the team not say 'lower body injury'?

The ONLY reason I can see this, is with what happened to Girardi. They didn't specify lower, or upper. He was just OUT.

Maybe this is the new procedure for them, to not even discuss in vague, cryptic ways, lower, or upper. Just saying NOTHING.

This thread is about RICK NASH. Lets keep it that way.

Thanks for your time. :)

I don't really blame Torts for not saying anything besides "he's banged up". The way this league is, if you start saying upper or lower body injury, that's where other players will target when your player comes back. Just to try to take the other guy out again. The lack of respect for other players in the league is disgusting.

Bad news for us, Nash is not travelling with the team to Ottawa. May possibly join us in Montreal, but I highly doubt it.

@NYP_Brooksie
Nash is not making trip to Ottawa. May join team in Montreal.

@NYP_Brooksie:

Again, not to intentionally fan the fuels of discontent, but flying is tough on guys suffering from a concussion.

For his sake, I hope it's just his groin.

..That's just dandy. Super-duper.

I'm so..ticked off. I'm off to build a birdhouse.
