Exactly. Florida's depth is fine, it's just lazy narrative continuing to boast Edmonton's lack of depth these playoff round after round, when the stats I just pointed out were very similar when comparing to Dallas "depth" and Vancouver's "depth"

Don't forget the Kings "depth," that was purported to be a problem too.

I don't recall that, then I decided to google it, Matt Cooke, he played during the season and was left on the roster.

Anyways, I don't see any point in a player that barely played here getting his named etched on the cup. And that is 4 years ago.
It was Marc Savard but it was pointed out to me he was injured during that season

Dumb question. I have every intention of flying out to you bastards and being at game six which I know is going to cost me a fortune. Oilers tickets go on presale tomorrow at 11 your time and then noon for regular sale on Ticketmaster. For laughs I will try to get some before resorting to paying a fortune for resale. Is there any chance I will succeed ?

Been learning a lot today. Florida apparently has no weaknesses as a team, despite rocking a 2nd pairing of NHL cast offs in OEL and Kulikov

"Harder path to the cup" narrative seems to be based entirely on eastern conference bias pushed by a bunch of media guys who haven't watched a pacific time zone hockey game since the 2010 olympic games.
They are actually 3rd line D

1st line is Forsling-Ekblad
2nd line is Mikkola-Montour

I just learned that Colin Campbell’s son is an Assistant GM for Florida. Colin Campbell was caught for influencing referees against making calls on his son as a player. Colin Campbell’s defence? “I didn’t think anyone would find out”. Why wasn’t he booted out? Now his son is in the finals against a team that feasts on the PP

Let them continue the narrative.

Edmonton has 21 players that have a point in the playoffs. Florida 19
Edmonton has 16 players that have scored a goal in the playoffs. Florida 14
Edmonton has 11 players that have scored 2 or more goals in the playoffs. Florida also 11
Edmonton has 8 players that have scored 3 or more goals in the playoffs. Florida has 10
Edmonton has 7 players that have 4 or more goals. Florida also 6.
Edmonton has 5 players that have scored 5 or more goals in the playoffs. Florida also 5.
Edmonton has 4 players that have scored 6 or more goals in the playoffs. Florida also 4.
Edmonton has 2 players that have scored 8 or more goals in the playoffs. Florida also 2.
Edmonton has 2 players that have scored 10 or more goals in the playoffs. Florida has 0.

So I guess those two players that scored their 3rd goal before two more of our 2 goal scorers did is the difference between depth and no depth.

Also of note,.. 7 of Florida's goals were empty net goals. Edmonton only 2.
People seem to under look the fact our stars score at x2 the rate of floridas best players and think their depth is superior

Kind of off topic but I just turned on the TV while I do my workout and the first thing that popped up on ESPN was a 30 for 30 documentary (90 minute doc) about the 2011 Vancouver riots with lots of graphic scenes. I remember it being pretty bad but it was actually way worse than I imagined, pure mayhem from not just a few but hundreds of human slime. It was very eye opening.

Long story short, regardless of the Oilers winning or losing I hope Edmonton stays classy has some restraint and celebrates or voices their displeasure in a peaceful manner.

I wouldn’t be worried about that sort of stuff here. It’s literally only that city.

All the after cost proceeds go to the charity. I think it’s a great way to raise funds for those less fortunate and for needy causes. It’s $20 which is pretty reasonable for the Final IMO?
Considering OEG's treatment of Boyle Street, I have my doubts, but fair enough.

I remember that scandal. And how Campbell just skirted it with barely a mention, despite confirmed corruption and bias being exposed. f*** Campbell.
