Look a bad game I can forgive but this series wasn't A bad game it was multiple bad games even when I was upset we lost 3 in a row to Tampa I felt our effort wasn't always good but it was present at leat some of the time. Tonight? We were content to shoot pucks from the point w/o net front presence to be Sloppy and Kept missing chances off target or can't control the damned puck.

Reimer kept us in game in first period.
True but that's not my main point there. He doesn't need the game reps, Petr does. Plus if anyone should've been the backup to have that game it should have been Ned. Reimer's numbers look good only because he was starting when the team was scoring on all cylinders.

Seriously someone who is not deep into the whiskey, what are a team's chances in the playoffs once they lose to the one of the worst teams in back to back games near the trade deadline?

Nevermind, this is my own damn fault and question so I will be back with the answer tomorrow.

Well, like I said recently, this board has no shortage of cringe after losses (among other times). Hope no other fan bases are watching.

Nah, anybody would be allowed to get pissed after a loss like this. That was a really unforgivable effort at the end. They didn't even try.

I don't get annoyed by hard luck losses when the effort is there. A game like this though? f*** em

But f0r real, I apologize for overreacting. I was just hoping to see us go past the 1st or 2nd round this year.

If there's any place for overreacting, it's a game thread.

Having said that, I don't see a lot of overreaction. This team SUCKED in a way I can't recall them sucking in a very long time. When I say SUCK, I mean, they weren't playing hard or even trying to look like they were playing hard.

They looked like me, when I get called in to work on a Sunday and I spend the whole day half-stoned because I had 3 edibles the night before. And I literally just stare at my monitor for 8 hours and go home.

It was then that I knew I put too much effort into following this team that doesn't give a shit about its fans.
come on - you made it through the getting sued by his kid for stealing from the trust fund, spend closer to the floor than the cap, make the gameday experience worse either actively or through cheapness and complacency part of the karmanos era without knowing that?

Hey, I got upset at it too. I just think some of the bellyaching about our team having no chance now is silly. Whatever helps people process it.

I hope everybody is enjoying the totally predictable goaltender's duel between James Reimer and Jon Bernier.

On FB i get in 'arguments' with other Caniac groups because I think Nedeljkovic should be our starting Tender. He has more natural ability than Mrazek or Reimer.. He's proven himself when he's been on the ice and Oh yeah, isn't that why we drafted him in the 2nd round some odd years ago? That's who I want starting. I am convinced he is our #1 Tender moving forward.

That's not to say our forwards don't need a kick in the ass.

The sad truth is that it isn't coaching. It's just that we aren't as skilled as we thought. And once we get eliminated in the playoffs again we'll be wondering why.

Or are our skill players just under performing? I suppose that is the best case scenario. We didn't accumulate 58 pts in 41 games by being 'less than' we thought I don't think.

This team was sharp for the entire first half of this shortened season. If we get back to playing how we did during some of those big win streaks we'll be ok. Otherwise... We choke, shit the bed, w.e.

Went insane. Apologies to our posters here and even the beat writers of ours that I've criticized. I was expecting too much from the team at the deadline.

Ay man just take a breath. This is why I smoke weed lol. There's plenty of time for us to get our mojo back, don't dig the Canes' grave just yet please.

Necas really masked Svechnikov's ~quarter-season of struggles offensively. He has just 5 5v5 points since the start of March (Link). That's sub-Foegele.

Not big on being a Debbie Downer in these threads, but this one concerns me. He's the guy they need to be the straw that stirs the drink offensively with his physical ability to get inside the dots in a close checking environment (the playoffs).
