I think it's well known that they have not been the closest of pals but I can't imagine a world where Pettersson is capable of making Miller take an indefinite leave. Petey is soft as butter on and off the ice.

In that context it sounds like our locker room and just the guy we need in NY. We have a couple moapy coach killers that quit every time they get tough love when their pond hockey schtick isnt working anymore in the win column or the playoffs.

MIller fits this team and Tocchet's vision to a T, and has been a consistent point producer, leader and physical presence. The only scenario for a trade for Miller is him asking for a trade, and I don't see him wanting to return to the Rangers more than any other team,and he'd still need a hell of an overpayment.
