Quinn was at 2.4 per.

Not sure about Gallant in vegas.

He's been to a cup final and won a jack adams, I'd think he'd come in around 3.5-4 per on a 5 year deal with his next job?

Interesting comparing that potential deal to what Carolina is supposedly offering Brind'amour.

This is what you wrote

..."now.....and that is if gallant is only here for two years and that is what he will instill in this young roster is something that will not hurt us moving forward as all you need to do is look at the success of the Knights while he was there and after and look how Huberdeau/Barkov/and the other kids have turned out...SOLID NHL stars . Gerard Gallant will not hurt us"

Now, you're saying you didn't say Gallant played a major role in the success of Barkov and Huberdeau?

You can't advocate both sides of the same argument.

Yes or no?

Did Gallant play a major role in the development of Barkov and Huberdeau?

If no, then your original statement makes no sense.

If yes, can we similarly conclude that Quinn played a major role in Fox's development?

BTW, thanks for your forgiveness.
Your Welcome . You make little sense...maybe you had little coaching growing up.

What a double standard...

Just about a month ago I was mocked for basically saying the same thing about Adam Fox when people were trying to give David Quinn the credit for his success.

Wasn’t you Chosen, but it was 2 others around here that couldnt let that one go.

The point is that it's silly to believe that a player becomes excellent or terrible because of his coach.

He doesn't want to have to switch gym memberships
He is a fitness fanatic . When he was here back in 92? with the Flyers as part of the Lindros rookie training camp.....he would spend ALL day basically in the gym at the resort when not on the ice for the hockey side of camp. He was just a kid back then . Signed lots of stuff for us as did most of the guys we approached even Lindros signed multiple items for us . LOL...he likely was appreciative of my friends taking a bunch of them out lobster fishing...he only ate about a dozen . Great times back then for that training camp in our small local .We also had the Panthers and the Senators here in other years . Maybe if they hire Gallant....they might bring the Rangers in for a week ? Now that would be awesome .

So when does his contract actually expire?
Doesn't matter re: being hired as head coach for another team

If he's still on payroll for the Golden Knights, he'll stop being paid by them and start being paid by the Rangers.

If he's not on the VGK payroll, he'll start being paid by the Rangers.

It's not like if he signs as head coach tomorrow, he won't be head coach for the team/get a paycheck until the beginning of the 2021-2022 season.

I would think it’s Gallant’s job to lose or he’s competing against other candidates who are not under obligations. I can’t imagine Chris Drury interviewing him and then letting him wait to see if other coaching candidates team’s get eliminated and see if they are released or available

I dont disagree... to an extent.

I think a coach can have a negative effect on a player in how they perform whether its minutes distributed, who they play them with, what they ask of that player taking away from what got them drafted where they are or to the NHL.
