I love all these people who’ve seen him play once or two claiming they know his ability. Stay in your own lane.

People can only watch him once or twice because he keeps getting f***ing suspended or game misconducts and everyone sees the result of his stupid actions! That's all the highlights the league gets from him because basically that is all he is known for.

... Euh? C'mon now, Barnaby had two 40+ pts seasons and three 15+ goals seasons, and would probably have had one more without injuries.

You sure you didn't mix him up with Rinaldo?
And Barnaby was also more of a talker than a bruiser like Rempe, and yeah he actually had a positive impact for his team on the ice.

He's historically been super docile vs the Devils, so...
Less than one full game?

He could eventually get to more suspension games than actually played games.
We should petition the league to suspend his teammates instead. Igor first, then Panarin followed by Fox. Just keep it rolling until the Wolfpack are the lineup on ice.

You're such a Ranger Homer dude.
Yes, the guy who drew 3 penalties in the same game he got suspended from can’t play hockey.

Hilarious hearing Devils fans talk about homerism when it comes to Rempe. Your team traded for a plug to deal with him because he rocked a few of your players last season. Your fans are spooked by him.

And that’s how you show you don’t know the first thing about him. Drew three penalties last game.

Has played 33 NHL games. That’s on you if you choose to be naive when it comes to the player.

I'm being part facetious, I'm sure he does more but basically the highlight of the league understanding around him, he is only known for the suspensions and the misconducts and dirty play. It's all deserved, frankly. He could be a better player if he knows how to control himself. The way Laviolette speaks every time he got misconduct it seems more the NYR egged it on.

If he can't control his game he won't be playing anymore. The next suspension for another elbow will be like 16 games. That's the Raffi Torres/Matt Cooke territory

I don't know what is more hilarious, the few Rangers fans that are claiming it's way too long and the hit wasn't even that bad, or the people here who say Rempe isn't an NHL caliber player.

Crappy league. They’re so worried about a rookie who hits a little too hard because they don’t want anyone tough in the league and not concerned about why their product is so mediocre and is on the decline year after year. What a sad state of affairs the NHL is.
What is tough about hitting a guy from behind? That seems like the exact opposite of being tough.

Rempe is absolutely not a NHL caliber player lol

Rempe is just the Rangers' version of Trevor Gillies. At best, maybe he becomes the new Shawn Thornton if he can manage to not get suspended every 4 games in the NHL.

I'm sorry but that isn't ANY DIFFERENT to this hit which got NOTHING.

- elbow
- left feet
- took more than 4 strides
- player was unsuspecting and went head first into the boards.

Oh right...jersey is green this time! Got it!

Rempe shows the myth of the so called “enforcer”. The idea that this is the type of player that protects the stars of the league from the so called cheap shots and in turn make the game safer. The reality is these guys are the dirty ones themselves that the league needs protection from. Since they can barely play, they have to resort to dirty stuff to survive their shifts to begin with and play with a natural tint towards violence as is. So you need one “enforcer” to I suppose protect from another “enforcer” and reach the equilibrium the game is in if neither existed at all. The game is better off without them as a whole.

He is a repeat offender after suspension from elbowing Siegenthaler. The rules are repeat offenders will get increasing length suspensions.

Nothing new here.
