Puckdoku Game 24 - 9/9🏆:

Canucks were on it today. Really in my wheelhouse.

Mike Sillinger is the answer to every question. Too bad you only can use him once .

Best one yet I think.

Schneider-Semenov-Sundin
Larionov-Ozolinsh-Mellanby
Sillinger-Oates-Coffey.

-Robby Nieds accounting for 89% of my score
-The first thing that popped into my head was SHAWN ANTOSKI
-This is like the 9th time I've used Stu Barnes

This is at least the second time that's happened, a couple days ago we had a JJ Daigneault game. I think they should make an edit to the code that, if and only if a given player is the correct answer for all nine boxes, you should be able to use them in multiple boxes. Anyone who can correctly identify that deserves a 9 Sillinger Box.

Also got by far my best score so far, had already suspected I wouldn't be alone  also seems like the Wings-Nucks 6%er is way overrepresented in this thread. Score 53

Pahlsson and Kulikov were leaps of faith I have to admit. Was also legitimately worried Coffey might push my score over 100 by himself

Vanek May Sundin
Booth J. McGinn Nieuwendyk
Whitney Thomas Hull

I pulled Thomas from the Gary Thorne call from the 2003 Finals (“… he’s waited 19 years to be in the Finals, he scores the game winner”). The stints with Chicago, Toronto and the Islanders were recalled. I guessed that there was another team in there. In fact, there were 2 more (New Jersey and Detroit).

I didn't do so well today going for low percentage answers:

I put Petr Nedved for Vancouver+1000 GP but he was just short. I had a hard time finding one for VAN+DET. I used Igor Larionov for FLO+DET and then realized I should've used him for VAN+DET. I did find it funny that Mike Sillinger could've fit in every box today.

Got a uniqueness score of 5 today which is my best :

Harold Snepsts - Ryan Shannon - Bret Hedican
Johan Garpenlov - Bryan Allen - Scott Mellanby
Pat Verbeek - Tomas Sandstrom - Craig Berube

Was surprised that Scott Mellanby was only at 4% as a Florida 1000 GP guy - he was the guy I thought of instantly and then couldn't think of anyone else better and assumed he'd wreck my score.

FYI when it’s 1000+ games played they don’t all need to be with that franchise- just needs to play 1000+ and played for the franchise.
Yep I'm aware of that. I think at first I thought it had to be with said franchise, but nowadays I've learned. Still, my first instinct often is to think of that franchise and then I get stuck and cant think outside the box anymore. That was also my last square so I was probably getting bit impatient too.

Turns out I was incredibly lucky with Weinrich. I remember him from the Canucks because the 05/06 season was the first year I started to pay full attention to the NHL. But apparently he only played 16 games for Vancouver.
