I got a 0.0 today for Ken Linseman? I’m normally taking all day to do these well but I crushed today. 72 uniqueness is by far my best, no cheating but it’s definitely an outlier day.

I got a couple 0.0%'s today which was a first for me.

CHI+DAL: Sylvain Cote - I mostly remember him since he was on the ice for Jason Arnott's cup winning OT goal. Cote started that season with Toronto but got traded in the first week of the season to Chicago to help replace Chelios. Then he was dealt to Dallas at the deadline.

TOR+DAL: Scott Thornton - Thornton was also on their 2000 Cup finalist team. I knew Toronto drafted Thornton when they infamously used their first three picks on guys on the same OHL team. But I wasn't 100% sure if he ever suited up for them.

Got 9/10 today. Dallas/TB challenged me most

This one was really in my wheelhouse - I just couldn't quite figure out a "unique" Stars/Leafs player so I went for a somewhat safe pick. Then about 3 seconds after submitting I remembered
Dave Reid, due to a Pat Burns rant.

Oh : For O6 + O6, the answer is always

Got to cute with the Bruins today. Could've sworn Byron Bitz was traded to the Lightning for Mark Recchi, so put him in that square. Turns out he was traded to the Panthers for Dennis Seidenberg a year later. Oops.

I would have gotten a better uniqueness score if I didn't get so lazy with the Lightning 40 goal scorer.

Being hockey obsessed since the mid-90's is my secret.

Doesn't get me a ton of social cache, but in hockey trivia nerd threads I'm in my element :)

****ed up twice in the Buffalo/Edmonton box as I learned that Brad Malone and Sean Malone are two different people. On a sidenote, I also learned that Brad is a cousin of Ryan Malone.

But on the positive side, I surprised myself with Kotalik. Him playing for the Rangers doesn't ring much of a bell, but somewhere in my subconscious I thought he might have.

I don't care about your scores, Hockey Wordle.
I cheat sometimes.
Just so I remember the old guys.
It made me legit sad the other day that Boivin was 0%.
Boivin! He wasn't Orr or Park but he was Ok?
I didn't cheat on him.

What do you guys consider cheating; looking before hand if X player did in fact play for said team before entering it would count as cheating right?

Because in my made up rules it would be cheating. With 9 guesses, if you want to take plunge of putting G. Reinhart for EDM/VGK for them obscure points, you gotta deal with off chance he never suited up for Vegas

Same but mid 2000s for me. Got the official guide and record book- which had a complete register of EVERY NHL player in the league that year and their full career stats- every year for Christmas and wore it out so much each year that pages fell out by the next Christmas. Played the mid-late 2000s EA and 2k games religiously. My thought process is basically to try and remember a team's roster from NHL 06 and think of where else they played, so much so that a lot of current players completely slip my mind  Closely following both the NHL and AHL for almost 20 years has been a big help.

I've committed so much obscure and worthless hockey knowledge/players to my brain over the years. Won't stop people from accusing you of cheating, though.

Went for Kotalik in the same square today but originally thought of him for BUF-EDM. Decided not to risk it because I definitely remember him playing for Calgary too and I wasn't sure if I was mixing the two Alberta teams up. Looked it up afterward and turns out he would've been a valid choice for Edmonton too.

I will say that Boivin getting 0% the other day felt like a crime.

Edit: and while I'm here, why doesn't Puckduko save stats? I've only just started, maybe have 6 games done, but I'd love to track my progress, get an average score, etc.

Get to work, person I assume is reading this.

There was a guy who played out a long, successful career with a stop in Arizona after having a very brief and forgettable stint in Edmonton.

That comes from insecurity and poor theory of mind. "If I don't know this stuff, nobody else possibly could!".

What bothers me is I can't have people who were in the organizations and never played a game for one franchise sans being on their minor league team. Eg. Kris Versteeg if there's Chicago and Boston.
