Having a really hard time deciding between Hank and Steps. For me, both are right next to each other in the voting.

Why all the Henriks

I'm all for Henrik but if Step doesn't deserve it then when will someone other than Henrik take MVP? Cally robs Step of the SMEEA and now you guys are too. Tsk tsk.

Without either one, we'd probably be done but when your forward out performs, Gaborik, Richards, Nash in a season and is the catalyst, playmaker and finisher on offense at a time when our center depth was **** and our offense was impotent, that's some serious good done right there.

Honestly, someone would need to put up a season where they are in contention for the Hart to take team MVP from Hank.

Hank has set the table for the team to succeed almost every game. Shootout wins alone should put him over the top because he's always the difference in those one on one competitions and like it or not those are the points that if we lose, no playoffs.

Stepan has had an amazing year, but it's still Lundqvist. He's performing at such a high level so consistently that a 92.6% season is only seen as "OK" by the fanbase.

Stepan should win the Selke this year though. It's a reputation award so he won't actually win it, but he deserves it.

He also passed Ed Giacomin tonight for the franchise record in number of total shutouts.

Lundqvist was also selected Sunday as the Rangers team MVP for the seventh consecutive season. Lundqvist finished with 24 victories, a 2.05 goals against average, and a .926 save percentage. He started 43 of the Rangers 48 games this season in goal, including the last 14 in a row.

Hank was average for the 1st half of the year.. if step didn;t have the year he had with richards gabs and no secondary scoring this couldve been a disaster of a year... the middle stretch of the season where we thought we were done, step battled and put us in a position to be competitive every game..lundqvist is the easy answer.. but look where this team was this year with noone playing up to expectations and step shinning bright.. hes the guy that put us over the top..

1c is key to success.. if he didnt step up no bueno.. wouldve fell far back in the standings..

Stepan. With tonight's game in the books, Stepan had 6 GWG this season. The team single season record is 9. I think that's very telling.

Stepan finished 11th in center scoring and 21st OVERALL in points and 5th! in +\-. He elevated his game so much this year it's hard to pick Hank, who also had a great season (2nd highest SV% and GAA in his career).

He deserves a nomination. I think Toews wins his first Selke this year though. Stepan is close behind him in stats that people look at for the Selke.
