Also, can't help but love what the Leafs "truculence" entailed tonight:

-Colton Orr laying a beating on renowned punching bag Thorburn (good on Thorbs for stepping up)
-Cementhead Phaneuf going after (edit: nah that's too generous, more like jumped him, typical of the puke he is) Ladd and getting a roughing call for his troubles. Thanks for the PP goal, Dion!
-Kessel getting baited into a coincidental minor by Clitsome
-Orr taking an idiotic roughing penalty in a scrum around the goal, and not taking another Jet with him
-McLaren and Orr being sent out in the final minute to "send a message" :biglaugh:

Truculence, my ass. They've two goons, two guys who pick their spots (Phaneuf and Komarov), a physical guy that I like in Mark Fraser, and a bunch of small, soft forwards that the Jets D plowed into the end boards and dislodged from the front of the net with ease.

Not saying our lineup is about to challenge the Bruins and Kings, but then again, we're not trying to position like were some tough and fearsome team.

Nik MOTHER ****ING Antropov. *****es.

Hells yeah.

Finally gets rewarded for his work.

Also, Phaneuf is a little *****. Gets hit so he throws a temper tantrum. What a joke. I really hope all the Phaneuf fans one day get a chance to meet him...he will have no fans left, that guy is such a *********.

I can't believe how many Leaf 'fans' on other boards are blaming Reimer/Scrivens for this, the Leafs got outworked and outplayed, plain and simple. I guess it's easier to blame goaltending that to admit <gulp> maybe the Leafs just aren't as good as their current record indicates. Great effort by the Jets tonight, that's what's important here, this will be a HUGE boost to their collective confidence. Go Jets!

Nah man, that's what I thought at first. Watch the replay. Ladd's driving for the net, and gets his stick under Dummy McRocksforbrains skate. Seriously, Ladd didn't even put a shoulder into him.

Whatever, he's been a puke since his junior days. Leopard doesn't change its spots.

Wow this was one of the most fun games I've went to in awhile!

Our crowd was ridiculous and fun. Reimer chants! 'Let's Go Blue Jays' chants! Seriously?! Scrivens chants within seconds of him going in goal and the Jets score on their first shot on him. A nice balance of taunting and 'Go Jets Go' chants. Our crowd was awesomely silly. The wave going in the third, and the the Leafs fans in my row leaving early. Good times.

I wore my luchador mask for the full 3 periods and I credit myself as the good luck charm for the Jets win. I got asked for a few photos :)

Went to the Metropolitan beforehand. A really nice, big space. I think I'll make a point of visiting it for dinner + a game in the future.

Best game of the year by a mile. For me, this one was up there with the first Bruins game and the Thorburn/Sabres game last year. Crowd was back to our 2011-2012 ways :)

Just got back from post-gaming, what a riot that game was.

Excluding everything on the ice, MTS security was on full alert. 216-217-218 had many people kicked out/warned for good or for bad.

Worst was a Leaf fan in 218 who yelled at a kid (he really did, it was unbelievable in his Leafs glory), then a guy jumped in which led to some mutual throat-choking, but then the Kid-Yelling-At-Leaf Fan got to stay. How does that work? :help:

Ah, I haven't seen any replays yet. Just got back from game not too long ago.

Seriously, Phaneuf is a super loser. I moved to Edmonton as a teenager, so I played Midget+ in Edmonton with many people that played with Phaneuf, and they all same that exact thing. He is a pathetic crybaby that can't take being messed with.

What was more surprising to me was Fat Phil throwing his tantrum in against Clitsome, he usually doesn't let that stuff bother him like the rest of that whiny team. I was so happy to see the Jets get under the skin of that team, they think they are tough since they dress their goons every game, but they really are not.

Man I love beating that team.

I basically get to go to one game a year, and what a game it was.

Had a little bit of a "sloppy seconds" chant (at phaneuf obviously) start in our section. I do find it comical, but don't think it would be a classy chant for us to do as a whole.

Great night!

Yeah, I just caught it on Youtube, they showed everything leading up to that "fight".

Phaneuf has been one of my most disliked players for a long time. His ugly looking stride, how he picks his spots and suddenly turns into Scott Stevens against smaller opponents, his lack of awareness and discipline (love how he blasted not one but TWO shots right into clogged shooting lanes on a 5 on 3), his personality, his stupid-looking mug. Hate him. I'll allow that he's improved from his Calgary days and is a solid top-pairing guy, but he's so brutally overrated by some of the Leafs Nation contingent.

Clitsome trolled Kessel hard. They were going at it just prior to a puck drop in the neutral zone, exchanged a few love taps, and then decided to pick it up at the end of the shift. I'll take that tradeoff every time.

I have come to the realization... that they don't like me :D

Jets fans trying to use their little number crunching to say that the Leafs are falling apart. Guess they forgot a few things:

-Despite several other teams, this is the first time Leafs have lost 3 in a row
-Teams below us keep losing (Rangers, Jersey, Philly)
-Our top winger is injured
-If the Leafs wheels are coming off, then that has to be a hell of a lot better than being a team whom never had wheels to begin with (I.E: Jets)

1) And will likely continue.
2) My best bet is all 3 of NYR, NJD and PHI, + WPG pass TOR by the end of the season... TBL + NYI are more iffy.
3) We've been down a top3 D since the begining of the season. Suck it up; everyone has injuries.
4) 8-4-1 in last 13, 6-2-1 in last 9, 3-0-1 in last 4... sounds like wheels and momentum to me
