This team actually played 60 solid minutes of hockey. Not one minute of it was garbage. I can't remember the last time we had this kind of game, if ever.

This is what I said in the pregame thread, that the Jets were long overdue for a consistent 60 min effort. Tonight they got it in a big way, I can't think of any Jet that I was unhappy with. Also, I can't get over how well that Antro-Wellwood-whoever line played, it was a thing of beauty.

Big win, but I don't want to get too high. Need to take care of business in the return match in Toronto, and you can bet the Leafs will be much more inspired than they were tonight.

I'm always cautious about getting optimistic about this team. We all know the see-saw tendancies that can really hurt us.

Since this team appeared to hit the lowest of lows this season before heading out on the road for 9 of 11 games, we have gone 8-3-1 in the 12 games since. Hasn't all been pretty, but I'll gladly take it.

If we beat the Rangers and Leafs again we will have won tie breakers on those teams as well.

Now if we win in Ottawa we have that tie breaker win as well.
