Hard to get excited when Bettman's pet projects are sheltered by league officiating. What a horrible call on Marner there with 5 minutes left and the Leafs building some momentum.

You got it.

Anything for US Markets. Even a 500 seater at a small mechanic college.
Arizona's stadium is laughable a tiny college arena.
More to come aparently?

But god forbid the Winnipeg Jets have 10 seats left open up in that foreign country. Must consider moving them. Hmmm Foreign...

Well in that case maybe I need to to spread democracy in the only way i know how.

Bettman Hockey League sucks

Rielly and Brodie way down at the bottom of this chart tonight. Blatantly so too. That pairing can't continue.

That ones on Keefe. Guy proves a coaching change will be an improvement.
6 game win streak and he goes back to what changed leading to our streak.

I really don’t blame Keefe on Reilly and TJ as Lilly got a rest day.
I would had at least tried Reilly and Gio and see how they work.

I might be in the wrong here, but I still believe in Tavares

I think you gotta move the C, Matthews should carry it, but I think Tavares has more in the tank to give

Hopefully when it counts
He didnt look great tonight but over the last several games I thought he looked good.

Besides the missed call, poor effort from the entire team. I thought this was Samsonov’s worst game since he came back from his hiatus. Matthews and the rest of the core were non existent. Oh well, on to the next.

Hopefully Woll gets the next start
I thought they had some pretty good chances but just could finish it tonight. It was a close game until it wasnt.

1st line had 3shots on goal all game.
2nd line 13 shots.

1st line .Could been better. Matthews is good but even he need to shoot at least three times to get a hattrick.
100% of the shots not taken... an so on...

Lack skill defence was on full display tonight. Could have been 4-0 Leafs at one point if everyone not named Rielly on D didn't have hands of stone

The difference was the 3rd goal. even if you say that's the only one he should have had, that's the one that matters, that's the one that CAN'T go in, that is the reason why my thread needing to address their goaltending exists.

That is the reason that I am correct. That 3rd goal tonight happens to Saros once a month, Markstrom, maybe 2 or 3 times a month because Markstrom most of the time isn't quite the goalie Saros is, It's close but I would choose Saros.

That type of goal happens to Samsonov and/or Jones, almost every night the difference is the Leafs have an elite offense so a lot of nights they get through it.

Take Thursday against Vegas as Exhibit A, 2 of the 3 goals Jones allowed were not NHL caliber goals but they got through it and their offense carried Martin Jones to win.

And that's the problem the offense carried Martin Jones to a win.

The offense shouldn't NEED to carry the goaltending to a win, once in awhile yes of course, those games are going to happen, in an 82 game season there is going to be a few where the offense need to carry the goaltending.

But it shouldn't need to be every f***ing night, and that's the problem It's EVERY f***ing night.

Our goaltending would have to steal about 15 games to even BEGIN to make up for it.

You know there is going to come a point where Boston is going to have to make a choice between Swayman and UllMark, and when that choice comes, possibly as soon as this off season you go get the other one.

Because even if you believe Woll is the guy, and unless he goes on a massive run and and wins the cup we aren't going to know if he's the guy because he's missed over half the season with injury.

But even if you believe Woll is the guy, and he might be you still go get whoever Boston ends up trading because they are where they are in the standings because right now they have 2 good goaltenders and you need that.

We MIGHT have IF he can stay healthy.

We sure as f*** don't have 2.

Are you counting the empty net goal and the one immediately afterwards after the game was well finished?

Seems like a completely disingenuous stat, this one that you just cherry-picked.
Nope, After it was 4-1 I looked at the stats because it seemed like Reilly-Brodie was on for every goal against and Brodie was already -4 by that point with Reilly a -3

Maybe for the forwards listed the stats don’t tell the whole picture but when you consider those guys did nothing offensively yet make over $40m between them the minuses are a horrible look

It was fun while it lasted.

We all knew once Rielly came back they were gonna start losing again. Seems a little too coincidental they went unbeaten the entire time he was out of the lineup. It's all his fault they didn't go 82-0 this year.

They should trade him.

I'm worried that hot streak made everyone soft. Now that they can coast into the playoffs they'll start to play that same laid back lackadaisical style we all know and love. You know the one I'm talking about.

The one where Marner makes lazy no look drop passes to nobody.

Or Keefe takes a too many men penalty instead of whatever the hell that was tonight. Things like that. Then you know the team is playoffs ready.

That's when the real fun begins.

This loss is solely on Keefe. You're on a 7 game winning streak and your team is probably playing it's best hockey in a very long time, and all it takes was one injury on the backend the cause you to mix up all the lines again?

So Sammy sucks again……I bet his head is a mess right now
Woll being almost ready is probably freaking him out, I like him, but his mental fragility is a concern…….

Rielly is not a good Dman.

Guys a great offensive2nd pairing D on a good team ideally.

Jesus christ nowonder we were winning without him
And some want more offensive D men that can’t defend, inconceivable……..

Ok, 1 game, life goes on.
But, it begins to bring back the horrors we have seen.
Those flippin drop passes and basketball offense, even Keefe mentioned that
Stretch passes behind our dmen, nobody on the bench screaming, dmen that can't see behind themselves,
Marner moves away from the net and skating a little slower
AM, moving from the faceoff dot closer to the extended goal line. Yeh, he has scored from there but chances are, no!
Domi smiling and watching
6 left handed dmen takes its toll
Nobody had their jock straps on
A Leaf team that failed to answer what they knew would be a determined team
839 save percentage

Not exactly a championship caliber lineup, Vegas is very middle of the pack without Stone, Eichel.
They can still usually put in a quality defensive effort, too bad the same can’t be said for the Leafs…….

Our big 5 of Nylander, Marner, Matthews, Rielly, Tavares = combined minus 16.
Most of that was the empty net goal, followed by the garbage time goal.

Still. Wasn't good enough for last night.

They have all been on such a heater that it is not very surprising though

Pretty good game, actually. Vegas clearly took the last one personally and played lights out defensively. We just couldn’t get pucks through the slot or on net. Then when we did, Hill got a toe on most.

I thought our boys played fairly well, but lost to a better team who wanted it more. Regular season intensity versus playoff intensity. Decent game to move on from, they worked hard have some things to work on.

They are still 12-3 in their past 15, while beating a lot of good teams.

Having a bad night doesn't mean they are back to being soft, or that bad habits are creeping back in.

17th loss in regulation over 58 games.

Move on and start a new streak

Those are the games you should win 2-1 or 1-0. Up until their 1st goal it was a pretty evenly played defensive game. We would be talking about that instead of blown opportunities, giving up the late 2nd period goal after crawling back on Bertuzi’s goal. Even after 3-1 there was hope to comeback in the third but everyone just sort of blew up there in the 3rd. Despite horrible officiating you have to play/coach through that.

They need a righty for Rielly at the trade deadline. Lilly being out dismantled our entire defense. We have to hope Woll can come back and play as a tandem, go with the hot hand into the playoffs, but I’m not tossing Sammy out of the net because of a few bad goals in a stinker of a game.

I only watched the recap and I’ve seen quicker broom ball games. Seemed like everyone was playing in quicksand

Maybe they should do a Dermott too.
Why are guys like Engvall, Bunting and Kerfoot getting tributes?
Not sure what the criteria is, guessing certain amount of games played. This isn't unique to the Leafs, don't see the harm in it.
I imagine Dermott has already been back and had his.
