Post-Game Talk: Refs win another, remain undefeated in their careers.

Predictable loss, really. Team as a whole looked like they had just finished nutting and then spent the rest of the afternoon shopping with their ol' ladies. Just don't be a bunch of flubbernauts on Thursday and we'll all let this one slide.

He’s a guy with big ups and downs and I think he runs the offense more on intuitive feel than great vision. Sometimes he’s prone to tunnel vision rushing and really jamming pucks where they shouldn’t be going and his risk assessment is always green light. Just compare him to guys like Girard and Toews we saw recently on Colorado. Or a Letang. Or Kaberle from back in the day. He’s not always making smart, high vision plays. His puck distribution can vary game to game. His game isn’t precise. Sometimes just gets caught puck watching. It’s always telling they need someone to babysit him and as a 1D they don’t just throw anyone with him and he takes care of them. He is what he is. Great player but with flaws.
 
I might be in the wrong here, but I still believe in Tavares

I think you gotta move the C, Matthews should carry it, but I think Tavares has more in the tank to give

Hopefully when it counts

Hanafin is a LHD and we need another RHD. Hense why I added Tanev. I'd rather add and move him for a true #1 shudown dman. Not sure who that dman is, or if he is even available.

Lol the guys who want to trade Rielly every other game kill me. They all STFU when the playoffs come, like clockwork. This team struggles in the playoffs every year and you wanna get rid of the guy who can actually handle the pressure and plays better in it LOL

Samsonov is awful. Zero consistently.

Can not only blame the trash goaltending tonight, the lack of scoring was an issue.

Reavo is a rush player but Keefer isn't deploying him properly (go figure).

Though with Lily sidelined it was nice to see us without any of those pesky right handed defenseman. Six lefties just need to add one more at the tdl.

They have to give him the boot at the end of the contract. It’s not like he can’t play at all but takes up too much repuational space that he’s always going to get plum assignments, get talked up like a respected star. Just give me some prince aged players who can grow in their role.

Bright side to this is they won’t look past Arizona Thursday now. I’d expect a much better effort.

To be fair, I think they can mail it in against Arizona and still win. Against the Rangers on Saturday, however, is a different story. Needs to be all hands on deck for that one.

a lot of pressure is on rielly shoulder on offensive side because sorry hes the only guy in this D whos really dangerous in the offensive side. yes he will take more risk than the rest of the group because hes the only one whos able to make those play.

Exemple at 0-2, sure rielly will start to take a lot of risk especially a team like vegas who didn't give a lot of space. Before theirb2 quick goal who, vegas didn't had a lot of scoring chance but a 2-0 you need to open up your gate a little bit more if you want to create something. You will not see brodie or benoit or mccabe or trying what rielly trying because they cant.

It was the same last season vs both florida team. When rielly was not on the ice, leafs was struggling to get space and create offensive thing, reason why he had been on the ice for 64% of all 5v5 leafs goal.

rielly dont need a babysitter, they need someone who able to cover him when he will take risk because he need and will still need to take risk to give leafs a chance to win. It was not Schenn who made rielly look great, he just been able to cover him when leafs need it.
 
It was due after the winstreak.

I thought most of the team was alright, some weak goals and some gaffes defensively.

Reaves with 1 goal and +1

We still need RHD for Rielly
