Maurice holds back criticism after OT loss: I'm not giving NHL any money

"The decision was made in accordance with Note 2 of Rule 38.11 (ii), which states, in part, that the goal should be allowed because 'the attacking player was pushed, shoved, or fouled by the defending player causing the attacking player to come into contact with the goalkeeper,'" the leaague explained.

Lol at NHL

Parise
Was not pushed not even shoved, heck not fouled either .

He was bumped from the left and then right.
And not even a big bump.

If it was a hard hit, which it isnt as its a bump. He would either be going towards left or right. Not towarss helly.

If the league knows what pushed or fouled means see josh morrissey non boarding call..

Absolutely laughable that they come to that outcome.

Just got home and watched the game and I'm livid at the disgustingly garbage refereeing in this one. I'd be fired immediately for a job performance that bad.

If the Morrissey penalty gets called we probably win this game , the Jets didn't skate today but they also didn't deserve to lose a point because of horrible reffing . Imagine if Minnesota beats us by 1 point to get in the playoffs . :shakehead

I’m a Jack Roslovic fan but that was probably the worst game I’ve seen him play. He was standing still all night and lost almost every race to a loose puck.
Maybe he’s hurt or sick or has lost his confidence, or maybe he just has a lazy streak. But whatever the case, that was a really weak effort by him today.

The system does not work or the players are incapable of working the system.

Coaching has to change. THAT IS EFFIN BRUTAL.
We just out shot a team 50-22 the game before but ya it's totally Maurice that lost this game . :help:

Roslovic was brutal today , i would say try Frenchie there next game but he hasn't looked very good either since coming back from injury .

Looking forward to Lit's return - I'd like to see him in the line up and pretty much anywhere would make me happy.
Third line center might not be a bad idea - if he gets half the opportunities Lowry gets, he's our top scorer :sarcasm:
The third line seem to get a bunch of great scoring opportunities - and it's hard to watch them miss as often as they do - Lit's can help here and I hope he gets a chance. We need to see at least some scoring out of our third line -

Anyway the rest has been covered in detail - tough night with the refs, a lost 3rd period, and a back end that is simply not talented enough to play in this league.

Still in tight for a PO spot - can't ask for much more considering :)

I said it a couple of games ago, he looks soft. Board battles and winning 50/50 pucks along the wall or in the corners don’t seem to interest him much. I think he’s made big strides in his game this year but he is still plagued by inconsistency and needs to step up his battle level.
He might be dinged up or he might be starting to feel the effects of playing a lot more this year. Needs a recharge.

sucks that by our next game we could be out of a playoff spot. I am guessing we are either going to keep digging a hole and be out of it by the all star game or we stick around and stay in that WC fight for a final push... either way i suppose with our team/defence fighting for a playoff spot is better then most thought we would be. Adding in the injuries on top of it.

I feel he's a pretty knowledgeable hockey guy but his commentary is so over-the-top happy and positive about every play that it becomes annoying. Especially for us fans who tend to be more scathing in our play assessments.
Agree with this on Sawyer.

I think he's a good guy and knowledgeable but he could be so much better as an analyst if he just ditched his over the top praise of the Jets on every play good or bad. I'm not looking for Jet bashing but just good objective hockey analysis.

Not sure if it's a True North directive for the primary Jets broadcast team or just an unspoken rule.

Ray Ferraro seems to be able to call a spade a spade and remain employed. And he's so much better to listen to I think mostly because of this. He has kind of a surly edge like your pissed off uncle that makes him entertaining.

Case in point, Ferraro would have called Laine out for his sh1tty back check effort on the Wild first goal. It pissed me off and needed to be pointed out. I love Laine but that's the kind of commentary that needs to be added to Sawyer's rambles.

Thought Niku could have come in handy today. He probably gets to a lot more of those loose pucks we kept getting beat to. Also needed a bit more skill on the breakout and another guy who could outskate the forecheck.

And yet were still out chanced in the same game by expected goals. And it is not like this is a rare occurrence. This team cannot defend. They are clueless.
Half our blueline are below replacement level and a guy who should be on our 3rd pairing plays top pairing against top competition.
What exactly do you expect? They aren’t clueless, they simply aren’t good enough.

It is also the forwards cheating / not helping. And it was the same thing last season too. It is not just a shoddy D core (maybe second weakest in the NHL?)

It’s mainly a shoddy D core. The 1st line can sometimes be guilty of cheating for offence and not clearing their zone but EWR has been pretty solid, Lowry is Lowry and the 4th line barely plays.

The D core is the biggest issue with this team, hands down. Not only can half of them not handle their own assignments, they handcuff the rest of the team in a variety of ways.

Buff changes the dynamic of this team, big time and I think Niku does as well. Also, Wiebe is right about playing 4 and 44 together. At least have a pairing that gives you a good chance of dominating possession and shot share.

There'd no getting around this point -
As noted, our O could do a better job on the back check but at the end of the day, I don't think it would be enough to over come our D shortfall.

Everything is coming up the boards from our D - they are setting the wingers up to fail every time. The winger is left trying to pick it cleanly off the boards before they are run over by the apposing d man - it's a tough spot to be in when you not only have to pick up a pass that is more a clearing attempt than a pass, and then do something with it before you are hit or tangled up.

You need Dmen that can make plays other than these clearing attempts - our guys don't have the skill to get this done. They are concentrating on just getting it out of their end and that alone is a challenge for most of them.
You really begin to appreciate those guys that can not only separate the puck from the player but also have the composure / skill to get something going on the breakout.

Maurice probably wanted to keep his size in for the divisional grinding game.

Once again a silly call imo.

I fully agree with this. Poolman isn't cut out for the first pairing and Pionk is starting to really get dragged down by Sbisa.

Morrissey is starting to consistently win the shot share battle now but playing him with Pionk would likely help both beat the XGF mark consistently.

If Buff comes back we can hopefully build a functional second pairing around him and possibly Kulikov.

Maurice needs to be willing to dress another puck mover though.
