Post-Game Talk: Refs 2-Leafs 1 in OT

Agreed.

I visit many message board frequently, Leafs, Blue Jays, Bills, Sabres, Raptors, and others. BY FAR the fans here are the first to go to complaining about the Refs, much more often than anywhere else.

Get over it. The refs are not out to get this team, the Leafs in many games get calls for them that we all tend to forget about.

I would love to be able to read a post-game thread that didn't have you blaming Leaf fans for justifiably calling out garbage officiating.
 
The results aside, I enjoyed that game. Clearly Boston was not playing their A game and neither were we. It was for the most part a mistake free game by both teams that IMO was controlled for the most part by Toronto. There was a structure in Toronto's game that I'm not use to seeing. I really enjoyed last nights performance.
 
Yes it's the ref's fault AM, JT, MM, Willie & ROR didn't show up last night against Boston at 70%.

Let's look at the real problems here boys

Couple of reasons, spellcheck thinks it knows hockey player names and I’m constantly correcting its corrections.

If, to pick on 44 and 91, who are not alone in this criticism, are going to be slow, lazy and terrible, why can’t we?

Solid overall game, I really liked how we were able to match Boston’s physicality all game long. Need more from our top six, Nylander - Tavares - Marner shouldn’t be a thing anymore. I’d like to see Jarnkrok - Matthews - Nylander and then either Tavares - O’Reilly - Marner or Marner with one of Tavares or O’Reilly and the other centering the third line.

Yeah i dont think he sucks, it was directed to the ones who thinks so. I just dont think he should play with Tavares.
 
I really liked our game last night, never seen a Leafs team play like that against the Bruins. It was tight and playoffesque and I actually thought we were better on puck battles. Overtime is garbage.

Acciari is a beauty too btw. Great add for the playoffs.

Blaming the refs is silly. I saw nothing egregious last night except the Schenn call. But I also thought the first call on Boston was really soft too. It balanced out. We deserved the penalty in OT IMO.

Not even mad at that game. Don’t give a shit about the OT loss. No 3 on 3 in the playoffs.

We were the better team 5 on 5, Swayman had to make better saves than Samsonov.

Our lines weren’t set right either. Still very clearly not icing our best possible line up. Second line was basically a “let’s see” line. We probably score another goal if Willy is with Matthews.

We look ready. Boston is good. Not as good as their record indicates. They’ve had literally everything go their way all season. All the bounces. Zero adversity. Their goalies are scoring. McAvoy injured? No he’s fine. That president trophy curse will hit them hard in the postseason

Someone confirm Leafs had 80% xGF in the 3rd but zero 5v5 scoring chances ? Perhaps the site I'm looking at just didn't update that category.

If true.....how lol.

We had 8 5v5 scoring chances in the 3rd, and 3 against. Maybe they inputted the OT numbers into the 3rd period by mistake?

I thought it was good game too. Toronto controlled the play along the boards.

Fairly even calls from the Refs. We need to stop blaming the Refs whenever we lose a game.

definitely gotta stop using whatever site that is lol. Swayman made some big saves in the 3rd

Personally the way the Bruins celebrated in ice was a bigger tell for me. They acted like they expected to lose that game, so in their minds, we out played them
